About this villa rental
Trullo Podere Papilio can accommodate from 2 to 8 adults plus 2 children.
Among the picturesque country roads of the city of Noci, centuries-old olive trees, fruit trees and dry stone walls, just 5 minutes from Alberobello, a small residence called Podere Papilio opens its doors to welcome guests with comfort and simplicity. Crossing the threshold you feel free to let yourself be carried away by the atmosphere, completely immersing yourself in the beauty of nature and Apulian culture: the noise of plows in the distance, the scent of earth and lavender. The property extends over 25,000 m2 of forest and arable land, which guarantee privacy and a unique view in every season. The panoramic swimming pool overlooks this wonderful panorama. The structure consists of four bedrooms: two delightful bedrooms with private bathroom and independent access from a small terrace for exclusive use; an apartment consisting of two bedrooms, three bathrooms, equipped kitchen, living room in the manger and dining room in the trullo. The structure is preferably rented to a single group, but there is the possibility of renting it partially (depending on availability). It is ideal for stays of at least a week, in order to "switch off".
Immersed in the Apulian countryside, among farms, dry stone walls and arable fields, the farm is a 5-minute drive from Alberobello and Noci (which can be pleasantly reached by bike and/or on foot). The farm is located at the peak of Monte Carello, the famous climatic area of the municipality of Noci, at approximately 500 meters above sea level. This allows you to enjoy a unique "coolness" because it is caressed by the breeze of the Ionian Sea and the Adriatic Sea. - 20 minutes from Martina Franca, the city that hosts the famous Valle d'Itria Festival, a UNESCO heritage site - 15 minutes from Locorotondo, one of the white cities of Puglia - 20 minutes from the Castellana caves, which houses a complex of underground cavities of karst origin among the most beautiful and spectacular in Italy - 30 minutes from the Ionian Sea and 30 minutes from the Adriatic Sea.

Silvia and Giancamo greeted us on arrival. It was like visiting old friends. Warm and friendly. The Trulli is absolutely gorgeous. Clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly want on hand.
The alfresco area and pool are stunning. We stayed for a week and it was amazing. Highly recommend Podere Papilio for a truly Puglia experience.

The grounds are beautiful. The home is private with a coded gate and is updated beautifully. There is air conditioning in the bedrooms. If you rent the entire home, two of the en-suite bedrooms are on the back of the house with private entrances and not connected to each other or to the main house. This is great for privacy, but it is something to consider if you have small children or are traveling with multiple families. The pool is great and kept up. The entire property is surrounded by lavender so it smells great and keeps mosquitoes away. There are fig, olive, and almond trees on the property. It is about 10 minutes driving to the closest grocery store in Alberobello. You definitely need a car. It is a great central location to do day trips to the different cities in Puglia. There is a very friendly cat on the property that hung around from time to time. Sylvia was a gracious host and very helpful with any questions we had. She is there from time to time doing upkeep on the property. We would definitely stay there again.

A beautiful countryside setting near Noci.
The Trullo has been lovingly restored…cosy, equipped, historic, immaculate…Such lovely touches as monogrammed towels…and the pool and deck!..But most of all our hosts went over the top with support and instructions…A stay for our Italy Memory book.
