About this house rental

Brewster Lake House is a four season gem on 6 acres in the heart of one of Ontario's most beautiful regions, well-known for its abundance of natural amenities and rich history. This spectacular home is located on a private, environmentally protected spring fed lake, only minutes from scenic caves, beaches and an extensive network of trails where you can hike and bike to your heart’s content. And let’s not forget the array of downhill and cross – country skiing options from Devil's Glen Ski Club (10 minutes), Beaver Valley Ski Club (20 minutes) to Mansfield Ski Club (29 minutes) to name but a few!

This retreat is for families to gather and create lasting memories. A 35 foot expanse of windows, overlooking the lake, fills the vaulted, open concept family, dining and kitchen areas with natural light. With three bedrooms upstairs, three bedrooms downstairs, a complete games room (ping pong, pool table, shuffleboard and foosball), two family rooms, two gas fireplaces, a large deck, a screened-in sunroom and three bathrooms, this home has everything you need to spend time with loved ones, relax, unwind and have fun.

While a very private country home, this property still offers the convenience of proximity to charming communities - 20 minutes to historic Creemore, offering artisan shopping, dining and of course, the famous Creemore Brewery. For a larger trendy town experience, a 25 minute drive will take you to Collingwood with its stunning waterfront, delicious restaurants & breweries, unique shops and numerous festivals and events. If wine is your thing, there are several top rated wineries in the area including The Roost Winery and Georgian Hills Winery.

Spring/Summer/Fall:

Enjoy 300 feet of secluded waterfront on a spring fed lake just steps from your back door. Here you have full access to all water toys; canoes, kayaks, paddle boards and floaties. Feeling like some ball sports? This property also sports a volleyball court and shooting basketball court.

If you are a cyclist, road bikers love the quiet country roads. If mountain biking is your passion, there are hundreds of biking trails at nearby Kolapore Wilderness Reserve only 15 minutes away.

Calling all hikers…there are trails in all directions! Whether it’s Devil's Glen, Pretty River Valley, or Beaver Valley, beginner or advanced, there is no shortage of breathtaking trails to choose from.

We would be terribly remiss if we failed to mention the world's largest freshwater beach, Wasaga Beach. Only 35 minutes away, its white sandy shores and picturesque panoramic views of the Niagara Escarpment are you sure to capture your heart!

Winter:

There are multiple ski hills to choose from; Devils Glen Ski Club 10 minutes east, Beaver Valley 20 minutes west and Blue Mountain 25min north, plus many many more! Blue Mountain Village always promises a fun time with events every weekend for the entire family. If you are feeling in need of some relaxation & pampering, the Scandinave Spa is the perfect place for you.

My family can’t rave enough about how amazing our stay was at this property! From the moment we arrived, we couldn’t get over the views of the lake. After the very easy check-in process, we got to see the inside of the property, and let me tell you, the pictures do not do it justice! Our group ranged from age 2-92 and there really was something for everyone. We ended up bringing some board games and sports equipment (volleyballs, badminton) but there was no need, Meghan had absolutely everything we could want! From the quick communication with the host, the easy check-in process, the beautiful property itself, and all the amenities would could ever need, let a lot want, our family will for sure make this stay a yearly thing!

By far the best cottage we’ve ever stayed at. This cottage is extremely spacious, clean and has so many activities. From volleyball to basketball to a beautiful dock right in front of a beach. Beach water is clean and perfect for swimming. Can’t think of anything to complain about, we will be returning.

We had such a great time at this cottage. It is everything you can possibly ask for. No need to pack up the house and bring it with you because everything you need is already there! Just bring yourself and your food. The lake is crystal clear, perfect for swimming, a great amount of space indoor and outdoor and plenty of activities. Meghan was great to communicate with and quickly responded whenever we had questions. This is definitely a cottage that we would like to return to, so relaxing and highly recommend!

This cottage is perfectly designed for large groups with plenty of space for everyone to spread out and to be together. The layout is ideal for families with separate sleeping and social areas. There is lots to do (even through rainy days) and all the kids (young and old) had things to get excited about. The games room is a special touch with well maintained tables and every piece of equipment you could need. Our hosts thought of every detail from a welcoming note and treats to on call questions. Meghan was kind, thoughtful and absolutely wonderful to interact with. This place has everything for everyone -- games, fire pit, picturesque scenery to explore, stairs down to a pebble beach on quiet lake, all the water toys and anything you might have forgotten is available for use. The hosts also offered tips and tricks to enjoy the surrounding area and offered local products to test and try (the hand soap spelled incredible). All the beds were well laid out, comfy and the bedding was soft and cozy. There were pillows and blankets everywhere, with options to snuggle with a good book, on the deck, in the hammock, by the fire or in the sunroom. Everyone left wanting to book the next trip immediately. We'll be back next year! Thank you again for sharing your space with all of us!

The place is a piece of beauty and imagination, like a paradise. Everything is included; no need to bring anything with you except your food. All kinds of activities are available too. We had a really good time and will definitely come back again. Thanks, Meg. You were so friendly and flexible.

We recently had a leadership retreat for our dog rescue Save Our Scruff at this beautiful Brewster Lakehouse, and it was absolutely perfect! The cottage itself is expansive, updated and very well maintained, with plenty of space for our team to spread out, relax and connect. Surrounded by nature and the lake, it was the ideal spot for us to disconnect from our daily responsibilities and get to know each other even better. The kitchen is fully equipped, which made meal prep a breeze, and we enjoyed having our meetings in the great room with stunning lake views. The lakehouse has a ton of amenities, outdoor activities as well as a fully stocked game room which allowed our team space to try something new or connect over their favourite activity. The owners were very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. If you're looking for a fun getaway to recharge, be active and connect, we cannot recommend Brewster Lakehouse enough. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we left feeling refreshed and inspired. We'll definitely be back!
