Just 8 miles from the market town of Swaffham with lots of great places to eat, drink and independent shops to browse. If it’s a bit of culture and history you’re after, there are a variety of National Trust places nearby including Oxburgh Hall on your doorstep featuring a medieval manor house and Victorian garden, or the much-loved country retreat of the royal family, Sandringham (20 miles). The nearest beach can be found at Snettisham (27 miles), so make a day of it and drive along the stunning North Norfolk coastline with its sand dunes, clifftop walks, sandy beaches, picturesque quays and salt marshes. Visit the Watatunga Wildlife Reserve (12 miles) and experience a Norfolk safari in which the animals roam free among 170 acres of countryside.
You’ll feel instantly at home in this welcoming and tastefully presented cottage. The well-equipped kitchen has everything needed to whip up a home-cooked meal and a sit-up island for dining. The lounge provides a wonderful space for cosying up in front of the wood burner in the cooler months and enjoying a movie night on the Smart TV. The master bedroom has a plush king-size bed with patio doors to the garden and the second bedroom has a double bed. The family bathroom has a large walk-in shower.
Outside is a private lawned garden with garden furniture and gas barbeque for those warmer days in the sunshine. Whatever the weather, hop into the wood fired hot tub and soak amongst the bubbles. The eighteen acre estate offers lots of opportunities for walking and biking. You can also meet the resident animals including sheep, geese, chickens and pig. A rowing boat can be used on the lake and there is a shared picnic area.
