Friendly staffs and great breakfast.

We have stayed at this Hotel over the last 5 years on numerous occasions staff is always great ,great location, but you can see there not keeping on deep cleaning etc starting to show wear ..

Room was very comfortable and clean. Parking was okay considering the city congestion. Close to Baha’i House of Worship, which was our reason for the visit. Also walking distance from Northwestern University. Lots of places within walking distance to eat. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful, especially maintenance.

The lobby, hallways, elevators and guest room floor were filthy. People were smoking in the non smoking guest rooms. It felt like a college dorm from the 1990s.

Work trip and everything was great at this hotel

The toilet was leaking and it took forever to get hot water

Even with a more modern look, the building feels very dated, worn out and very expensive for the amenities offered. Rooms are blah, television in the room did not have a lot of working channels despite having a list of channels that should have been working. You pay extra money for parking and one of the scariest parking lots I've ever seen. When we were there there was only one elevator working. Not a good scenario when you are on the 15th floor and there's a wedding party also staying in the hotel. Waited long and often for the elevator. In addition, you had to travel multiple floors to find a working ice machine. Wouldn't recommend using the ice machine either. Didn't look very sanitary.

Check in & out were a breeze. Very comfortable beds & pillows, quiet room, clean floors & remodeled bathroom. View of downtown skyline was lovely. Breakfast was typical hotel buffet, ok coffee. Very friendly & polite staff all around.

It was good but ice was difficult to find and the check in person did not advise that you needed a key to use the elevator

Our stay was overnight, the staff was friendly and helped us pick a late place for dinner at Edzos...great food and service, walkable from hotel. The room was clean with a nice view, although t was a little outdated. Overall i would recommended this hotel.

Room reeked of smoke. Requested to be moved to another room but hotel was fully booked. We coughed all night. Room was very dirty and I have photos to prove it. Previous guest’s clothes were still in the closet!

Thin walls.

Perfect hotel, only minus was that internet signal was sometimes not sting. Maybe because I was at the 11th floor
Breakfast was good value for money, however plenty of breakfast alternatives around.

The only thing was that the coffee machine and light when you enter the room were not working. We also had to sign up to IGH membership (free) in order to do early-check in or else they would charge us $50. Other than that, everything was fine and comfortable!

Coming from the Island of Aruba and being this my first visit I felt in love with the colorful streets / arts.
Love It!

I liked that I was on the 8th floor with a good view and away from the noise of traffic passing by. I wish they had better breakfast, since they offer it and an alternative, that should also make it competitive

Overall, nice hotel. A bit overpriced, but all the hotels in Evanston are expensive. Lady at desk was so kind enough to allow me early check-in, so I was able to leave my luggage and change clothes before going out to explore the neighborhood.
The only problem I had was that housekeeping kept trying to open my door in the morning, even when I was still in the room. Thankfully, I had the lock engaged so she wasn't able to come in, and she apologized immediately, but then 20 minutes later she comes back and tries to open again. On her third attempt, she was kind enough to knock twice and yell housekeeping, but she then tried to open the door even before I was able to get to the door. It was very annoying!!! Otherwise, good hotel.

Second time booking, great as always!

The hotel location is good but the purple train running next to hotel 24/7, it’s really bothering sleeping time.

Located just on the edge of a very nice area full of small shops and great bars and restaurants. Only a couple block walk to the train.

Not a great stay, unfortunately. While the location is nice, the hotel looks a bit dated - the full-floor carpeting or something else causes the place to smell mouldy. My shower only had one mode, which was a hard spray, and my toilet clogged up twice in a 3 day stay.

Friendly, helpful staff make the stay very comfortable. The location with everything in walking distance is perfect for us. Breakfast on site is a good start to the day.

This place is gross. Mold on the shower ceiling, hair on the soap/shampoo holder, and something red (blood?) splattered on the wall behind the bathroom door. The coffee maker was also disgusting and looked like it had never been cleaned. The tissues were not re-stocked by the “cleaning” staff in the morning, either. It seems like all they do is make the beds.
My son also found a random pill on the floor. Fortunately, he’s old enough that he doesn’t just stick things in his mouth like a toddler does.
The TV is as basic as they come. No streaming services and no guide, you flip through channels like it’s the 90s. The phone also didn’t work. I wasn’t even able to call the front desk from it.
I expected more from a hotel in Evanston and I’ve stayed at decent Holiday Inns before, but this one needs some serious attention and perhaps better management.
The only thing this hotel has going for it is its location. It’s close to the purple line and several shops and restaurants are in walking distance.

Great property and location is top tier. Front desk staff was friendly especially the young black lady with the fabulous hair!

It is a great location. Once in the room, it was fine-clean & comfortable. Parking lot is scary (dark and run down), unless you park on the roof. No adult beverages available-a bit of a surprise. Carpeting could use a wash.
And please state ahead of time that the "seasonal pool" has been closed (drained with plants growing) for some time.

This is a great location. Literally 5 minutes walk to the beach plus you can be at Loyola or Northwestern within walking distance as well.
This was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in and I spent a lot of time in hotels.

The staff that checked me in was professional. I was able to get to my room in a timely manner. The room was prepared with the air conditioner already on and immediately cooling me down from a hot day. Parking was easy though entering and exiting the lot was a bit uncomfortable given the height of the ramp and unable clearly weather a car was entering the parking lot. There was some alarm to indicate vehicles entering and leaving the lot though the alarm was subtle as I was driving..
