I don't want to bash this property, so I will just list a few things I wish I would have known before booking my ocean view room. 1: The bedroom was on the bottom floor, the ocean view we upgraded to was barely a sliver and the windows were covered by trees. The mattress was really bad. We asked to be moved to an upper floor, but there are only two double beds available, so we stayed in our room. The ocean is there, but the hotel is in a wharf where we saw a cruise ship come in and out of, and there's only about 15 feet of sand but it was full of trash and needs to be cleaned. Don't think you're going to be able to hang on the beach and swim at this location. 2: The room was small, and musty, shower was really small, mold bubbling everywhere that had been painted over, especially at the base of the shower on the drywall. Musty basement smell. 3: The room had no access to the courtyard. They could have easily put a sliding door to walk out, but there are just small windows and you have to walk all the way around through the halls to get outside. Very old hotel design. 4: Location is convenient to shopping, and centrally located. The pool was nice, and the restaurant is nice. Parking is easy, and the location is very convenient for the airport. But we will not be staying here again.

My room was on the first floor near the end of the building. There was a slight smell when I entered it, but it disappeared in half an hour when I opened the windows. Since it is located near Kahului Airport, reaching the airport within 5 minutes is convenient.

Property staff were very friendly. No complaints about the staff. Approaching the building at night, seemed like a nice place. Lobby was ok. However as soon as we left the lobby, hallways were old, stained and dirty floors, broken seals on windows, etc. just very run down and old. Room was very, very small. But bed was comfortable. Glad we were only staying the one night after flying in late. Way too much being charged for what you get.

I had to switch rooms due to ants being in the first room that was not cleaned and unkept. Then the second room that I was in and ended up having ants in the morning. The bed was Warn out and not comfortable. The place overall was in port condition.

I paid for a King room and had to extend our stay by one night. I again paid for a king room for our second night through Expedia and when we checked in, the front desk staff changed my room to a room with two double beds without asking or informing me. I immediately called the front desk asking for the room that I reserved and paid for and she said she found the last king room and moved us. We were very tired from our flight and it was extremely hot and humid. It was a huge hassle to have to move our bags and our car because we were given the wrong room. The property is older and although clean, it needs and update and it would not be our first choice when staying in Kahului again. Example - the toilet in our room was running the last night and morning during our stay. It was too close to checkout to ask them to take a look at it so we had to deal with the constant noise.

This was a nice experience! We stayed over a weekend after a week in a condo. The room was small, but clean and met our needs. On-site breakfast buffet is handy, and the service was excellent! We will be back 😊
