Hotel overall was awesome but, got in late so decided to eat in the hotel dining room. Service was good but the food was a huge disappointment and very overpriced. Bar area was nice and drinks were average but, the bar was very understaffed causing long wait times to be served. Several guests just left due to not being waited on.

Trip was awesome. Hotel was beautiful. Staff was so friendly and helpful.

Pros- Gorgeous views of the lake.
Nice bar, restaurant, indoor & outdoor pool, lobby, pastry shop. Nice staff.
Cons-very, very expensive food and drinks, dated rooms and furniture. The hot tub was not well maintained/clean. Small children in the bar even late at night.
The deli was never opened so food prices were crazy high. $21 for a martini. Yikes!
Slow service in the bar.
I would probably stay again but not pay for a balcony room or eat on site.
The Christmas gingerbread houses and decorations were nice!

We only stayed here one night, so we didn't get to explore it much. It has a really pretty lobby and community areas. Brochure says it has hiking trails outside but it was rainy while we were there. The room was cleaner than most hotels, but price is reflective of that. The bathroom sink water pressure was terrible, at one point just trickling out. Thankfully the shower had good water pressure. I never understand why hotels no longer have bathroom fans, the mirrors and everything in the bathroom steams up and has to be wiped off with a towel after you shower. The lighting in the bathroom was fine, but the lighting at the sink by the bed (weird set up) was not as good. All in all, we would stay here again, but if it was more than a night, we would have complained about the sink water pressure. Plus we aren't rich so we couldn't afford to stay more than one night anyway.

This was one of our first couple trips now that my husband has retired. We loved staying at the Chateau. It is a beautiful place to stay and the staff is so pleasant. The scenery is truly a great part of Gods creation. We had a wonderful time and hope to visit again. Thank you so much

Amazing views of the lake! Overall a pleasant stay, however, bar service and food quality need attention to detail.

Perfect for a spa weekend with all of the amenities and plenty of dining options, but the rooms are terribly outdated.

$52 breakfast was cold and under cooked. House keeping never came to straighten our room. Had to find housekeeping just to get some coffee for the next day. Room was not what we had paid for. Front desk was not helpful when we made inquiries.

There wasn’t cleaning room service in the three days we stayed.
The hotel need to do some maintenance cause we find the furniture an flooring a bit old.
We asked for the anniversary upgrade combo but by the time we arrived to the room, berrys were already rotten so we couldn’t eat any, we just enjoyed the wine.
The plate with the rotten food remained al the days of our stay because we didn’t have any cleaning service at all.
We end up thinking about it was a expensive fee for the service that we got.

This is not a cheap hotel. It’s supposed to be a luxury hotel and spa sitting along Table Rock Lake. It’s a place for romantic getaways, family stays, business conferences and nice weekends. At $300+ a night, one would expect the room to be clean and serviced (beds made/refreshed or, at the very least, new towels). That did not happen during our stay. One would also expect the outdoor hot tub, closed for many months, to eventually be repaired. We were told the outdoor pool was heated. It was not! The indoor pool was just okay. The indoor hot tub only had a few working jets and much of the pool’s lining was cracked and crumbling. I wouldn’t have minded so much if we were at a Holiday Inn. But we chose to stay at the Chateau for a reason. In need a massive update and several repairs, I would say the Chateau no longer lives up to its name.

The hotel reminds me of an old Embassy Suites. Our window siding was broke and covered up with tape.

The Hotel scenery was beautiful IF you book a room with a lake view. I booked a “mountain” view room and it was disappointing. It overlooked an old large/noisy roof with a “rock” in the distance. When I asked to change to a lake view it was stunning….until check out and was charged a significant difference. The rooms and interior are dated. The bed was comfortable and the bellmen were amazing even with the room change. I would stay there again with only booking a lake view room and knowing the price.
