Great place to stay. Staff was very nice and room had everything we needed. Only complaint is slight sound from road and neighbor.

Owners greeted with smiles and appreciated us staying at cabin. Highly recommend instead of staying in Deadwood.

The owner was very accommodating. It was nice to be able to have a hotplate and grill to do some home cooking and a front porch to be able to sit outside and relax.

Great go to when my studies allowed me and the wife to get away for Cool Deadwood nights. Stay here you won't be disappointed!

A/C didn't work. TV was terrible. No drinking glasses. Window wouldn't lock.

What an awesome property. We were very pleasantly pleased with the cabins and the superior service we received. We will definitely be back. This is now our go to place when traveling the Deadwood area in SD. Loved it!

Beautiful area. Room 18, where we stayed had an electrical problem. The electricity kept going off and on all night. That’s a problem if you use a c-pap machine. Kinda worried about a fire starting. The air conditioner must have been on a different circuit because it stayed on. Also, the bed was real high off the ground. I had to use a chair to get on the bed. Ponderosa Pines is in a beautiful area, but it needs some maintenance.

Quiet place. Rustic at best. Staff were very nice.

This mountain cabin was a great break from all the motels and hotels we were staying in during our Black Hills vacation.

Loved the cabin and decor. Deer walked through yard. Nice patio.
Sorry to see it’s for sale. Close to restaurant with a car. Neat town.

Loved the location, had to self check-in as they were short staffed, but it went smooth. Parking lot is a little small for long pickup trucks. Bed was not too stiff, but also not soft. The floors could’ve used a good mopping… they didn’t feel clean at all. Otherwise, cozy!

I thought that I had booked a cabin but we ended up in a room that was part of the Inn. It was clean and simple. I had packed food expecting to have a mini kitchen, but the room just had a microwave and a mini-fridge. The mini-fridge was unplugged so it took a while for it to get to temp to keep my food cold. I understand conserving energy, but if you are expecting guests you should have the refrigerator ready for them. The toilet was difficult to flush, you had to hold the handle down for a very long time. The cold water handle/valve to the tub/shower was also not working properly. I was pleased that we had chairs on the patio so that we could sit outside of our room, but when you sat in the chairs they reclined so far back that it was uncomfortable. The only way to stop them from reclining that far back was to put them against the building or to lean forward constantly. The building definitely has potential, the location between Deadwood and Lead is ideal. We did see some chipmunks and deer as the owners leave out corn and water for them. Would possibly stay again but would not do the "comfort" accommodations as I like to be able to make simple meals in the room.

Everyone here was very friendly and staff was very helpful! But I was disappointed that there was no shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the shower.

good price and room was ok. I liked the big king size bed. It was very close to Deadwood SD. Did see a couple very small spiders, and the bathtub needed recaulking.

Very clean and comfortable.

Fairly decent place, with a family with small children probably not the best due to thin walls. Our room appeared clean for the most part, but one drawer was full of someone’s clothes.

This is a cute little cabin. If you’re looking for a rustic way to stay, this is it. It’s one big room with 2 beds in it and then a pull out couch. I enjoyed our stay.
