The guest room which I stayed wasn't ready for commercial, because there was a construction in the doorway outside the room, until 9pm the noise of construction still there. The hotel commercial advertising says "hotel room facing to the sea" this is not true at the Palmoro House, there are facing to the train track and with a huge noise when the pass away in the evening. The main lobby and check in desk located on the main property of Mar Monte, not at the address that the hotel sent to the guest by "1111 E Cabrillo Blvd", it was so complicated and inconvenience.

Unfortunately the bath shower was broken and the vanity sink was clogged. We couldn’t take a shower. We were calling to front desk several times with no luck. We were asking for a compensation but they told us, they couldn’t adjust the rate because our reservation was made by Expedia. They waiver us $30 for the resort fees. Thank you
Vanessa

We were not expecting to stay in a separate area than the main hotel. I paid a lot of money only to be on a back alley street by a park where homeless people smashed bottles and threw up by my car. It wasn’t a very safe feeling. When we got to the room the fridge was cold and the toilet paper holder was broken. The shower didn’t have any pressure and tub didn’t drain. We paid for a king and got two twins, maybe they were queens but it was not what we reserved. I wouldn’t ever stay here again. What a waste of money for the worst accommodations. Do better.

The neighborhood is not good. We witnessed a man shaving n his car. We had to park at a paid parking lot because we did not trust the area
Very litttlw cell phone reception in the area too. While we could use the amenities at the sister property, this one isn’t worth the price.

Checkin went smoothly. Gentlemen at counter was pleasant. I knew this was an offsite property from a very upscale main hotel.
This was definitely budget type. For $580 it still was not cheap or worth it. Hotel was $475, additional costs of resort fee and parking up the price. We never ended up going to main hotel or used any of the hotel services since we were there only 1 night. I would not stay there again.
I rather pay that for an oceanfront smaller hotel.

Very pleasantly surprised with our stay at the Palmoro House. A little quirky check in as the Palmoro House is about a block away from the check in location, Mar Monte Hotel.
The staff was amazing, especially Danielle and Sean. The room was not huge but very nice. The bed was very super comfortable. Bathrooms have been tastefully remodeled!
I would definitely stay there again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to my family and friends!

I didn’t realize when booking online that this was a sister property to Mar Monte Hotel. To check in you have to go to the Mar Monte front desk at the main location. The room was clean but we did find 3 spiders in the room. The tv was a like tricky to set up. You have to mirror your phone onto the tv and watch a program through an app you have downloaded. No local channels

I like that it is gated. I don’t like that you have to walk to the main hotel Mar Monte to use amenities.

We were very pleased with the size of the room and the cleanliness. The staff was also very welcoming. Highly recommend the Italian Mojito from the pool bar - We can’t wait to return next year
