We read of the site that the office was open until midnight. We had a late flight as we were flying from a return trip to the east coast. However, it closed at 10 PM. The front desk fortunately worked with me to check in earlier, and I used the office phone to call for the key. The rooms are quite comfortable, even though very basic. There is a refrigerator, small microwave and a hair dryer in the room. There are dispensers for conditioner, lotion, shampoo and hand soap. You may need to call only for towels and if the steam from the bathroom sets the smoke detector off, like during our stay. The location is better than I first thought when I arrived. You CANNOT see the ocean from the hotel. There are rows of houses in front of your view. However, if you brave the walk to the light so the south, with no sidewalk, there is a cute little Mexican Restaurant, an entrance to the beach, and a cool water tower house / B&B. The room is not quite, especially after 7 AM. I heard the cleaning staff and others too easily. Especially after a long night on Friday at Haunted Horror Night in Hollywood. One very unpleasant thing is the smallest parking spaces in the open covered parking (under the hotel). It was a nightmare squeezing into the last real space Friday night.

The pillows were very lumpy and the street traffic was loud making it difficult to sleep.

Adequate for our purposes. Right on the Highway, but the noise in the rooms was minimal

Nice comfortable bed and great location with good parking. Construction going on next door, so that made it noisy. I would stay again.

Newly updated room. Very clean. Only down side they cant control is how loud everyone was in the hall and doors closing. Great local dining just a black or so down the road!

The Staff was awesome, very friendly, allowed us to check in early. The location was perfect, for walking to the beach and eating out at Damien Japanese & Teppan, Harbor Bay, Woody's and Taco Surf. We will be back for more fun and adventures!

It is a good location for cycling along PCH or any of the nearby trails, also. Parking is convenient, and though there is some noise from it being located on PCH, a pair of earplugs did the trick. The room was clean, beds were comfortable, and staff were friendly.They even contacted us to let us know we could check in early, which we took advantage of!

This is a flip hotel, looks like work is still in progress. Location is decent although not much of interest in walking distance. The rooms are large but bedding and pillows are lackluster. Bathroom is remodeled with an overhead rain shower head only. It makes for an odd shower experience. There was some noise from rooms down the hall and it echos thru the hallway. There are aigns on the door to keep it closed to prevent non guests from entering. No elevator so we had to lug bags upstairs.

Had a very nice stay at surf city inn. Room and bathroom were clean , Bed was very comfortable. BTW being next to pacific coast hwy the noise can be a bit too much but they have double Payne windows That reduced the noise considerably. Will stay and highly recommend. Also easy on wallet for the location.

This motel is a VERY nice basic motel. Curb appeal, not so great, but covered parking garage, and large rooms are great. Clean room, seems recently refreshed, paint, furniture, etc., comfortable beds, bathroom is good sized. Microwave and mini refrigerator included. Great for a stopover in Huntington Beach. Within walking distance to several restaurants, great coffee shop a couple doors down. Owner (I assume) is very nice and accommodating. Only downside was noise from Hwy.1. Earplugs were necessary for me.

It really is more like Huntington Beach, but guess the property line is right there. Hotel is clean, beds fine, free parking. Good free wi-fi and little fridge and microwave, so guess I shouldn't complain.

The room was amazingly clean, and even when the A/C off, it was nice an fresh. Keep in mind, No elevator! So walking upstairs 2 flies to get to your room is not bad l, unless you come in with lots of luggage. Great location, 5 min away from Huntington Pear and Main Street.

I had received a text on the morning of my pending stay, informing me my room was ready and available for early check in if I decided to come in early. I've never had that happen before, & I was pleasantly surprised, as I was already in town and was trying to figure out what to do to kill time for five or six hours before my scheduled check in time. The front desk clerk was very nice, I told her how much I appreciated the text & the early check in option. The room was very nice, cutely decorated, and smelled good too. Being just a few blocks from the beach was wonderful, and lots of little beach front shops and restaurants made for a really pleasant stay. Will def stay again when visiting in Seal Beach.
