They went above and beyond, after check in, we inquired about a freezer in the room to keep ice packs cold for relief from a recent surgery. The initial room only had a refrigerator. We were upgraded to a very nice room with a freezer which was much appreciated!

Great location away from the bustle of the busiest area, but plenty close enough to walk there, Canalta Lodge was clean, spacious, had lockers for your wet gear, and an awesome hot tub setup for relaxing after a long day.

We enjoyed being close enough to walk downtown, but not in the “Really High Price Area”. Breakfast was a little limited in that it was the same elements every day. Staff was friendly and ate arrived when we asked a few questions. A good stay.

The hot tub was an excellent option after a long day in the cold. The smores were a little treat as well. Overall, great stay, close to town, within walking distance, and offered covered parking.

There was actually very little on offer in terms of breakfast variety especially since we stayed 3 nights. It was the same everyday.
The bar staff were not very helpful and the limited selection of snacks that we did order, wings and spring rolls were pitiful and not worth the money spent on them. There was no initiative to clean up tables…just left guests to clean up after themselves.
We paid for private underground parking but the garage door was open the whole time…even though we were given a code we never needed to use. So security didn’t seem to be a priority.
Sorry but I would not return even though the room was nice enough.

The stay was amazing. Love the deco and quirky splashes of yellow throughout the hotel .
Check in was smooth and Anna was extra helpful.
The breakfast was excellent and the 1 min self make pancake machine baked the freshest pancake ever.

Loved the location and all the amenities this hotel offered. The decor was very nicely down..,a mountain modern style. It had an amazing breakfast, drinks to order during the day or even appetizers. I also liked the fact there was an underground parking garage.

Extremely clean. Gym was decent with new equipment. Outdoor hot tubs and cold plunge were great. Would stay again. Free breakfast was included and was a nice spread of hot and cold choices.

Bed and room were massive for a solo traveler like myself. The hotel is at the end of the main drag, so quiet, but the roam is just off the hotel so if you do not want to walk it, the public transit is right there. Quality complimentary breakfast, free s'mores in the evening. Hot tubs were clean and nice after a days hike in the park. Lots of dining options walkable from hotel.

The same breakfast options served every day. Eggs- potatoes- pancakes- toast- yogurt.
The concierge was very difficult to get in touch with. Random hours throughout the days and never responded to voicemail or emails.
Also, had to walk through staff smoking outside in front of hotel on departure.

We loved our stay at Canalta Lodge, the room was great with two beds, good space & clean. The breakfast in the morning was very handy and we loved walking in to town. The parking was easy and cheap for Banff. The staff were very helpful. The aircon worked well and was lovely and quiet which was a nice changed from some previous hotels. We would definitely stay again thanks for a great stay.

This was my second time staying here and it doesn’t disappoint! It’s a bit further down the main road, takes about 15 minutes to walk downtown Banff. The staff is super nice, the hot tubs in the back are wonderful and the breakfast is great!

Can do better with breakfast. We had the SAME breakfast every morning from our 4 nights staying there and it is not cheap. Some weird egg, sausage potato, diluted oatmeal. Change it around a bit.
Room condition: had to change room on the first day cause it had some weird foul smell. Subsequent days, sometimes they gave us coffee pods or tidy up the room, some days they did not.

The hotel is good with all the amenities that one would expect but it is not worth 650 CAD a night. We stayed there for 3 nights and spent 2000 CAD. That feels like a rip off. Breakfast was the same every single day and basic pancakes, potatoes and scrambled eggs. Room was small. No coffee in the room but unwanted expresso was available. No free coffee available in the lobby. They cleared right after breakfast. The bathroom light was so dim that it wasn’t suitable for shaving. They didn’t even provide water bottles. After requesting room service after 2 nights, they didn’t refill body wash and didn’t provide enough towels. Overall it was worth 200-250 CAD per night

Great hotel. 15 minute walk to downtown and free parking right in the back of the hotel. Loved the hot tubs and backyard to relax at the end of the day. The only thing is the walls are paper thin so you need earplugs for sure because people tend to wake up early for their activities. They did provide the earplugs so I thought it was a nice touch.

Very nice lodge, excellent shower!!! They also have Rocky Mountain Bath products which is very nice! Underground parking was totally worth the $9- it’s small but I had no problem parking my truck. Would totally stay again…a little further from town than I originally thought, but it was nice to walk off dinner!

Shower could have been cleaner (hair found that didn’t belong to us). Air conditioning was tricky, didn’t want to stay on. Nice location, walkable to downtown. Outdoor hot tubs are nice! Breakfast was good! We would stay here again.
