Fabulous with one exception. Pillows were less than comfy and bed just ok. Otherwise, a total winner!

A really excellent stay. The property was maintained to a high standard and we met the owner who takes a keen interest in how things are going, who you are etc - a lovely cultured lady and a real point of difference from the one size fits all big hotel. Ideally located in central Venice but quiet too, we’d heartily recommend this property and will return again soon hopefully.

The staff were helpful and had wonderful dining recommendations. The provided breakfast each morning was delicious and the sleepy canal view was beautiful. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

It was an interesting place with very modern nice design but the check in area was very tiny ( no more than 2 persons with luggage can be there at once ) but understandably that is a very old home retrofit as a hotel accommodation . The manager Sylvia was super accommodating. The hot water was not working properly during our stay but she gave us another suit in a different location that was even better than our original room. Transportation from the airport was very challenging . The taxi driver dropped us off 25-30 min walk from the hotel. We had to walk almost 30 min to the hotel which was more inland but close to restaurants and museum.

Fantastic property. Can easily walk to all parts of Venice. Located right next to the beautiful Peggy Guggenheim museum. Rooms are clean and the staff treats you like family. The breakfast was outstanding. Highly recommend, especially if you want to be close to sites but away from the swarms of tourists.

Friendly and helpful customer service. Tania and Sylvia were so accommodating. Small boutique hotel away from the crowds. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for more of an Airbnb experience with hotel services

Very disappointed by the stay. I booked Charming House DD724 for my colleagues (business trip) a couple of times and it went well. This time, we were moved from DD724 to their IQS suites due to refurbishment at DD724. Not an issue until my colleagues arrived and had to cancel their first meeting to collect the keys (this was not indicated when I confirmed the booking, no mention on reception being unavailable during the day). The rooms were dirty. Free croissants were offered in the morning, which is a nice touch. However they were being served by a member of staff who entered in the room at 9am. I have never expected a member of staff opening the door while the guest is still in! As said, very disappointing experience. I will no longer book Charming House.

We were given a room in the DD 694 annex building approximately 50 meters away from the main hotel. I was not aware that i was making a reservation in the annex building. I am not certain if this is the fault of the hotel or if it was hotels.com's fault. There was a terrible mildew smell in the annex building, especially in the hallway. It was okay in the room itself, but the halfway was dreadful. The room itself was okay. It was small and the floors were not level, but that is not a surprise in Venice. Breakfast is held in the main building and i did not detect any bad smells in the main building. In addition to the smell, the area was very noisy, particularly on Saturday night. It seemed to be a hangout spot for young kids, one of whom was urinating into the canal as we walked by. Perhaps if i had stayed in the main building, i might have given it 4 or 5 stars, but i would not stay in the annex building again.

We really enjoyed this boutique hotel in the heart of Venice. Great location, great staff, and a nice breakfast each morning. Definitely would stay here again. We liked it so much we extended our stay as much as we could.

Service is fantastically friendly. Being a small boutique hotel with only a few rooms, service is very personal and rooms are quiet. The only ‘modern’ hotel in Venice. The first time I stayed here was around 15 years ago and the paintwork and finishes are a bit chipped here and there now but I’d recommend to anyone again without hesitation.

Tanya was incredible. Property was great. Best stay I’ve had in Venice and I’ve been four other times. Tanya helped plan our dinners and a day to the islands nearby and she has fantastic taste. We were very grateful.

This is a lovely small hotel on a side street/canal in Venice. It's more modern in it's appointments than the "typical" Venetian hotel, and honestly that's what we were looking for.
Chiara and her staff were very kind and provided excellent service with an early breakfast one day when we had reservations for a tour, help with dinners, etc.
The rooms are small as is typical in Europe and ours ("E") had a nice sitting room. The room was fairly bright during the day with all shades open but was a bit dim in the evenings with low watt bulbs and a somewhat darker decor. Breakfast was served in a lovely little area and was good with an option for eggs, bacon, etc. on top of a selection of pastries, cereal, juices, etc.
We had a lovely experience overall and could definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Exceptional service - best i ever experienced in my 30 plus years traveling. They brought me breakfast to my room, walked me to the place to buy my water taxi ticket to bus station, gave my friend a free cappachino, allowed me to check out late. Just exceptional service.

This charming hotel is in the best (non-tourist) area of Venice. It felt more like staying with my favorite aunt than being in a hotel

Amazing location, perfect hotel and outstanding staff. Would recommend the hotel. We stayed for 3 nights in May. Easy walking distance to St Marks Square but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Venice.
