This property was so cute and peaceful. A very quiet street. While all of San Pancho is very walkable, this property is over a large hill that you have to try, but if you don't mind that, its a great location. The room was a little tight for unpacking and getting into my suitcase but overall comfortable.

Didn’t like anything about it ! Only left my luggage there and stayed with friends at other hotel after attending a wedding. Would not recommend this place

AORA was a wonderful experience and we loved our time there, however there are definitely some pros and cons to consider with staying here!
PROS
- a beautiful property, stunning decor/aesthetic and open air hotel
- the comfiest bed we’ve slept on travelling
- the beg is enclosed and can be closed off
- loved the Japanese style rooms
- incredible rain shower
- a filtered water tap in the kitchen to fill water bottles
- 15 minute walk from the beach and centre
- helpful staff
CONS
- open air means you do hear all the dogs barking and roosters, the hotel does provide ear plugs which was great of them! But just something to consider if you are a light sleeper
- the free breakfast is really just coffee, toast, fruit and jam. Still delicious nonetheless but we had hoped for even some eggs for protein.
- there is a big hill to walk up and down to get to the hotel or centre. This was not an issue for us but could be for individuals with more limited mobility
- tiny spaces in the rooms, we had one large suitcase between the two of us and it was difficult to find a place to put it to access our clothing without unpacking everything. They do have drawers under the bed which would remedy this, but if you are not wanting to unpack/pack everything it was a challenge
Overall we had a pleasant experience at AORA and it was a great spot to explore San Pancho from.

The unique “ Japanese” design was interesting but not very functional for large pieces of luggage.
Breakfast was quite limited and it was disappointing when there is so much wonderful tropical fruit available to be served apples.

AORA had been on my radar for a while, as it is a beautiful unusual property, but for various reasons it never worked out to book a stay until now. I can say without a doubt this is my new favorite place. It was absolute heaven. The bed was not only cozy because of the enclosed design, but the quality of the bedding and pillows gave us the best two nights of sleep we have had a months. Also, the SHOWER was incredible. I've never been so excited to get off the beach and take a hot shower with amazing water pressure. The space has incredibly calm energy and the staff was attentive and so pleasant.
That being said, you should know San Pancho has a LOT of roosters. This can't be avoided. The open air design definitely means you hear the outside world, but honestly it's nothing a pair of ear plugs can't help with. My bf is a light sleeper (between me, our dog, and the roosters) and he still slept really well! If noise bothers you, you would have to avoid staying closer to town altogether!

I stayed solo here for a few nights and loved it! The design and style of the hotel is really nice, the staff were so lovely. The pool was so aesthetically pretty and the room was really cozy. I was in the room above reception and it had a nice glass wall with lots of privacy.
It's in a residential area, about a 15 minute walk from the main part of town/beach. There are some hills and the streets are a bit rocky, but easy enough to walk.

Staff and place was cool and creative. Unfortunately a dog nearby barked nonstop nearly all night keeping us up. Should be an easy fix by staff
