Very quiet property, six-unit building instead of normal motel/hotel hallway set-up. Only 15 minutes to ski area, less to Temperance River State Park. Would definitely stay here again.

The unit was remarkably clean. Every corner and surface had been attended to.

Quiet and peaceful but the hallway of our unit smelled incredibly bad like sewer back up or decaying animal. Owner was aware.

It was a nice quiet and convenient location to many nature trails and points of interest. Our room was small, but good for an overnight stay.

It was located in a ideal area for exploring the north shore of Lake Superior. Enjoyed the view, quietness and room. We chose a room with the jacuzzi tub and fireplace. Great for cool fall weather.

Love the woodsy area and private feeling to the property. chairs in the room were very hard and walls seemed thin (kids next door) but once they quieted down it was great

Very quiet. Hot tub was great. Missed not having a deck to enjoy the view. Some units did have this.

We stayed here for 6 nights while we were in the area for a hiking trip. We loved it. We had a room with a lakeview, fireplace, and whirlpool. Fireplace made for a warm cozy sleep and is easily controlled by a dial on the wall. There's also an alternate heating system in the room if you dont want to use the fireplace. Pretty clean. I dont know how you clean jets in a whirlpool but if theres a way, I would suggest it as some stuff did come out of them when we started them. The only cons here are that the water pressure isn't great and walls are thin so if your neighbors talk loud, you're gonna hear it. We didn't have any issues with that after dark though. People were quiet during those times. Location was great and put us right in the center of the 8 state parks we planned on visiting. The furthest we had to drive to a park was 1 hour 15 min. Our building was at the top of the hill so we even got to see the Northern lights from right ouside the building in the parking area! Definitely will be staying here again next time we are in the area.

Nice place and amenities and good location

Property was clean and well maintained. Convenient to go to general store to get breakfast, cafe near by and Grand Marais. Unfortunately, the room above us was very noisy, we woke up by crying baby at 4 am as well as them leaving the room before 6am. That is the only down side.

The property had a great view, but it is terribly outdated. They really need to update the furnishings and decor.

This is a nice location for taking advantage of nearby hiking. It’s near enough to the lake to take advantage it’s coolness. They even had a charcoal grill! It’s on our list to stay at again.

This was my 3rd stay. Very affordable, clean, great location on the North Shore of Lake Superior. No cable or air conditioning if that is important to some. It is not to us since we are out hiking and site seeing plus it is typically cool along Lake Superior so we just open the windows. Will definitely stay again.
