The reason we booked this apartment was that they advertised baby cots, which I reserved and emailed separately to confirm.
When we were arrived they confirmed a cot was set up in the room for us. However, there was no cot and one could not be found in the building. This was extremely inconvenient as we have a small baby with us.

Room was a very good size by Europe standards, And this was the cleanest room I have gotten anywhere. It is set up like a small apartment, with a kitchenette which is helpful on the budget. We had a studio which meant a fold out couch (I didn't know this before we went) but it was very comfortable and unlike the fold outs at home you didn't feel the pipes etc. it was very comfortable. There was a flat screen TV in the room, and the rooms had a drying rack, so you could hand wash clothes and put them on the drying rack. There is a food store nearby and a mall. I would stay again in a heartbeat. Things you need to know, the desk is only open from 8am- noon and 3pm-6pm so if you are going to be coming in later then that call ahead for codes. Also like an apartment, there is no maid service, you make your bed wash your dishes and go down to the desk and ask for extra towels, etc. In contrast we paid less for 3 nights here then what one night in Paris cost. You can get WiFi for a 2 euro per day fee, and they have a business center, but it is open limited hours. You can buy continental breakfast there, but there are many wonderful places to eat down in town. We did have a rental car so it made it easier for us to get to town and to the D-Day sites. This is the place to stay for a good size very clean room, not a lot of frills.

Hard to find, even when you're right next to it :) Other than that, very pretty, clean room. With small kitchenette. Only stayed there 2 nights. Didn't get room service, don't know why. Didn't need it anyway. It's a great and cheap place if you just sleep there. Nothing wrong with it at all.

This hotel was a little difficult to find as it is not in a major hotel area, but once we found it there is good security as you have to enter a code to get in the building. There are not, however, lights in the parking lot. Parking was adequate and the lobby was staffed for a reasonable amount of hours with staff that did speak English. Some of the drawbacks of this hotel: Our king sized bed was essentially a day bed with the trundle pulled up, everything costs something--internet usage, laundry, breakfast, even phone. There is a Mcdonald's, however, nearby where you can get free wi-fi. The laundry was expensive and the dryer was not very effective. Some of the pluses: price of course, the hotel was convienent to major roadways and we used as a jumping off point to tour Normandy and the D-day beaches, good sized bathroom and there is a kitchenette. I don't know if I would stay at this hotel again if I was in Normandy as I think Bayeux may be a better location to tour from as it is smaller. Caen is a large sitting and when you go into the city center it is easy to get lost while driving a car. I was disappointed about the internet being 10 euros a day and at the annoying dryer but the place was pretty quiet and inexpensive. No frills hotel but not a bad stay.

the king size bed i was expecting turned out to be a pull out sofa bed and this was not very comfortable. the bathroom was ok with a power shower but no bath. The area was not particularly attractive and the hotel was a little hard to find. the rooms were basic but good value but i was expecting something more comfortable

This is a great place to stay for a few days if you are taking in the Normandy beaches or Caen. But it may not be for everyone. This is more of an apartment building than hotel. It has a washer and dryer that takes tokens, and each room has a small kitchenette. Nice clean basic rooms. There is nobody at the desk after 7 pm and at lunch time. If you arrive late, your keys should be inside the little safe at the front desk. There is no phone at the desk, so you can go to the nearby mall "Carrefour" to call the number that is posted at the front desk to get the combination for the safe. There is everthing you need including a resonable buffet at the mall within walking distance. There is a breakfast at the Appart'city, but it looked very scant for 7 Euros. We ate breakfast at the McDonald's next door for 2-3 Euros. Overall, Appart'city is a excellent value for the price!!

I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. While staying there in Apr 2007, I awoke to discover that I had several hundred bedbug bites. A truly horrifying experience!!

This is really apt living not a hotel. When we arrived, after 6:00pm, the front desk was closed and we found out by chance that the keys were in the room and the room open. The front desk is only open during weekdays and not at night, weekends or holidays, so plan accordingly. It would be a great help to English-speakers to get the logistical items - clean towels, trash, other supplies and other information in a separate information sheet. We figured out from high school French that we needed to recycle paper and bottles but that was by accident. The room is smaller than we thought it would be and all rooms did not have a balcony as listed online Overall, we were very satisfied with the room, it was clean, with a foldout bed that was surprisingly comfortable. Yes, we would stay there again, just be more informed before we arrive!

I went to Caen to do research and was pleased with the room. It is close to two metro (twisto) stops and a shopping store. Only a short metro ride from the train station and downtown. I would deffinatly go back
