Very expensive for a one star motel.
It’s a fantastic location (directly across from the beach) but that’s where the good news ends.
Dark dirty rooms outdated rooms and zero customer service.

Location, location, location. You cannot beat it! I cannot imagine anyone being upset about this motel. It's a three star, folks. If you want a 5 star then pay for it. Bet it will be farther away from the beach!!

Great ground floor suite with parking right outside the door. Great sized rooms and very comfortable beds. Overall our two night stay was excellent.

My expedia reservation was not in the hotel system. Thankfully there was one available room but it was reallg dusty, the floor was not clean at all. We had to use shoes inside cuz otherwise the feet would become so dirty. We had to wash all the dishes cuz all of them looked dirty and the hot tub and the bbq were super dirty as well.

We really enjoyed staying here, great location right in the middle of the strip, great suite, some rooms offer a private patio and B.B.Q. which we really enjoyed having.
Keyless room access was a nice feature as well.
Over all great experience!

This is my second year coming here. I always come after Labour Day weekend so it is deliciously quiet.. I love the pool and closeness to the beach. My only complaint is this time I was in room 204 (or 206?) sorry I can't recall, anyways the king bed was comfortable but the other room had two singles which here horrendously uncomfortable, I mean quite literally the floor was better. It's sad because otherwise I loved that room and would like to see this changed before next year. Fingers crossed. I will absolutely be back nonetheless.

Good and simple Penticton motel... most of them could use a full renovation, and although it was overall a good stay, this motel is no exception.

room 215. We had a mouse crawl under and out the kitchen multiple times. The kitchen clearly used to have a stove top but was covered I tile (yet the stove top cooking equipment was still in the cupboards). The deck sliding door was accessible from the street and the gate should have been locked for added security but after I asked the desk staff about a bolt or any lock to the gate— they said it’s not locked. The bed was ancient and way too hard. For the price I expected little- but there needs to be a level that is safe and clean at the very least.

Easy access to everything , you do your own house keeping : new towels etc if needed ( however no biggie )

Great location.....steps to the lake, clean, and having our own little private patio with BBQ was a bonus! We'll definitely be back.

We used to stay there 5-6 times a year. Never a problem and amazing service. New ownership and it has all changed. There is no room service. The room we got was not the one we booked and to move us into the correct one we were charged an extra 50/ night. We also never had enough towels for 2 people and the coffee pot didn’t work and we were told it always has before. VERY DISAPPOINTED

Room was very dirty everywhere bathroom sink was backing up sewer water did not use it. We were booked for 3 nights left on second day. No staff at the office to check out had to leave a note. Great location though. Staff were very good when you could find them. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

I've wanted to stay at this spot for years -- it has a great location. It is right across the street from the beach. Unfortunately, that's all it has. We stayed there for 7 nights. We didn't get a maid service once. After four nights, I went to the front desk and requested maid service. She refused, saying if I wanted new towels I could bring her our dirty towels and she would give me replacements. She said she would try to arrange for a floor cleaning and new bedding, but not a whole room cleaning. I never heard from her again. The "deluxe 2 bedroom" unit looked nothing like the pictures online, had old, damaged, stained furniture, and smelled of chemical cleaners. Oddly, it wasn't very clean when we got there. If you have other options, I would choose that.

I think Tiki Shores is one of only hotels on Lakeshore Drive that has remained neat and tidy and not falling apart.
Sadly , nunerous others on the strip have not followed this . Shame for such a nice location

This is a hotel I will never forget….. and never stay at again!
With taxes & fees it ran about $400 a night, not at all what I’d expect for that price. The floors were covered in old sand and quite dirty. All socks were black in a very short period of time. Loose tiles in the bathroom and a very off white / yellow old stained shower curtain. We all wore sandals in the shower to be safe in case of hook worm. The toilet plugged on the first use and I asked the front desk for a plunger. About 90 minutes later a plunger was brought to my room, however we are a family of four so I had to take matters into my own hands and unclog the toilet with a a garbage bag on my arm.
The kitchen sink faucet was very broken and bent and twisted and leaked.
The beds were old and tired. Sinky in the middle. Good call to bring your own pillows as the ones they supply are also old and tired.
When we used the air conditioner it made the room smell like urine. So we just didn’t use it.
I mentioned my qualms to the front desk and very much just felt shrugged off. There was a lot of people seeming to complain about similar issues, so they’d likely had enough.
The final disappointment was this morning before we checked out was my wife’s bathing suit was stolen from the chair outside our room. It was replaced with a dirty cloth from the housekeeper that she placed on my daughter’s swim suit. I can’t say with certainty that the moody house keeper stole my wife’s expensive suit, but maybe?

No daily room service which I didn't knkw before booking. Low budget furnishings. Floors were very dirty. Hubbys feet were black from walking barefoot the first night, they did come and mop the next day after we complained. No onsite staff after 6pm and no answer from any numbers that were given for after hours contact. We needed the pull out couch for our son and were told that bedding would be brought over but it never was and when we went after 6pm no one was there to help us. The couch mattress had been urinated on and it stunk. Was pointed out to staff and no effort made to fix the problem. Great locatio accross from the beach bit for $250/night I expect highly quality ammenities and service. Will be choosing another hotel next time.

Excellent location right across from the lake. Very clean. Free and convenient parking. My only complaint was the mattress was sagging in the middle and should be replaced.

Nice place, great location. The rooms themselves had all we needed, however the apartment smelled and we had to febreze the place. The floor was filthy and our socks were black after walking around on it. We stayed in room 131, and it could really do with a proper clean.
The restaurant on the corner was very nice.

As always expected, the room was clean and was perfect as we had our own patio to do some bbq. Derrick and the young lady (Shannon??) at the front desk were super friendly. However, Barbara, I find, was kind of rude. She doesn't know how to approach customers properly. She yelled at us for taking towels out of the room to use for cover when it was raining as we did not have umbrella. We would never take it with us; we are not thieves. Instead of yelling, she could have at least just called one of us and talk to us in a proper way. She also had a problem with me taking my dog in the office, without a lease. I know my dog and will never let him out without lease; however, he followed me without knowing when I was checking in. Barbara needs to learn in dealing with customers in a proper way. She is the opposite of Heidi, Derrick and Shannon (sorry, I cannot remember the name, I am thinking Shannon?? - courteous friendly and approachable.
