Room was small but very tidy, it had everything we needed. Bed wasn’t the comfiest but ok for one night. The view was amazing, high over other houses the countryside stretched for miles. Don’t book if you don’t like heights. Unfortunately there was something making a noise all night (heating, A/C, water) I don’t know what but it sounded like a heart beat all night long and kept me awake.
Check in was super easy, the bar/ restaurant was clean and friendly. The breakfast was really good the staff very friendly and helpful.

The propert is a pub. We arrived shortly after Wednesday midday to check-in. A lady behind the bar checked us in and took us to our room. We had to climb a steel "fire escape" open to the elements to reach our room. The room had a large king-sized bed, plus a double bunk-bed & ensuite shower/toilet. It was slightly musty, dank and cold. There was no apparent heating and my wife and had a very cold, sleepless night.
Breakfast was fine.

We have stayed here several times and the staff are service are always excellent. However, this time the heart seems to have gone out of the place. Our room was not serviced over the course of our four day trip. Bathroom had signs of mould and the bar often seemed to close early.

If you are looking for a quiet retreat, don't come here. However, once the pub is closed it goes very quiet. The location is very convenient to explore the town and the surrounding area. If the weather is nice and the sky is clear, you get a wonderful view from the room. One note of caution: you will have to walk up a couple of flights of metal stairs to get to your room. It can get slippery when it rains. If stairs are an issue for you, then this is not suitable.
The room is as advertised, comfy and welcoming. Nice and clean, it has no luxury but standard amenities like a kettle and a TV. Bathroom was clean, not very big but with a comfortable shower box.
Breakfast was good and generous, the waiter went out of his way to address our special requests and did not expect to be compensated for it.
Other than the location and the views from the room on a beautiful morning, the staff are the real selling point. They are friendly, attentive, courteous and welcoming.

Motel type room behind pub with views, friendly staff, good food. Great for short stay for us to access with local bus routes for coastal walks and local area.

We received a warm welcome from Ryan at his 'Community' pub, Ring o'Bells, West Alvington on the outskirts of Kingsbridge.
The bedrooms are beside the carpark; access to them is via an open sturdy metal stairway which may be a challenge in adverse weather.
The beds with en-suite facilities were clean and well-presented; we all enjoyed a good night's sleep without any distractions.
The highlight of the Ring o'Bells is the spectacular Devon countryside overlooking the outskirts of Kingsbridge while accompanied by one of Ryan's generous hearty English breakfasts.

Ouch! Had a price of £75 per night quoted but upon checkout the manager claimed that you, Expedia, had added a surcharge of £40 and when challenged refused to back down. I was not happy.

We needed somewhere to stay overnight, to start clearing my mother's house after she passed away. The ring of bells was close and available at short notice. However, despite the circumstances, we were very pleased with the hotel. Would recommend. 👍👍

The accommodation was good for my short stay and the service was friendly and efficient.
Would stay there again for short visit, although access to the rooms was via outside star=irs which might be an issue in the wet.
