Great accommodations! Always wanted to stay here. It was a great couple's getaway. Only downside - The "king" bed was a little uncomfortable where the two twins came together and access to additional blankets would have been nice.
Otherwise, nice, quaint, clean! Definitely would recommend and use again!

If you get the Foster room you are 5 feet from a road and the windows aren’t insulated. I left at 8:30 pm and went to a hotel and just paid twice.

I loved the historic nature of this property. I was traveling with my 20 year old daughter and didn’t really feel safe there. There were no employees on site. The home had 6 (?) rooms that were all keypad accessible. We were the only guests in the home. It felt weird. It would have also felt weird had there been people there without a staff. Maybe that’s just me. The room was lovely, nicely decorated and had everything we needed except for the following: one window didn’t have proper drapery which allowed our room to be viewed from the outside. This also allowed for very bright lights from the building across the street into our room. As another guest previously said, no control of the A/C and I found it to be too warm for me. I would have also preferred to have a separate bolt or chain lock independent of the keypad. Another concern I had was the lack of means to egress the building (in case of fire). There was only a front door. No other door was accessible to us and we were on the second floor.
Some pluses! The common area was very nice with free snacks made available as well as a keurig coffee maker. This location may be a bit more fun if you’re traveling with more people and if they can fix some of my concerns.

A gorgeous historical building. The rooms feature the necessary modern amenities. The facility is "self service" in that there is no front desk and "check in" is by receiving entry codes to the front door and one's room. My room faced a busy street but street noise does not bother me, but it might some one else. Being an old building, there is nothing of sound-proofing between rooms so I got to hear the sounds of other guests. Parking on site. Very close restaurant choices, ranging from fast food to fine dining.

No parking. Did not find overflow parking unless they meant on the street or the shady lot that did really look like a lot. No mention of how narrow and steep the stairs are. Please mention to future guests. My husband may not make it back up to the room.

This wa a perfect place for us to stay to attend the Dance For All Conference at the Convention Center. An easy walk there and back, ate our own food in the common area.

This is a restored home used more for extended stay rather than a proper hotel. There was no staff on hand to greet or efficiently deal with issues. The room was not very clean, lots of others’ hair around the room. The linens had been washed but not the pillows which smelled strongly of sour sweat. It must have been intense because I never went nose blind to it. It said explicitly no smoking in several places, yet the common areas smelled of smoke, and since my room was adjacent to the entrance my room smelled from smokers right outside the front door. The lighting was inadequate for any sort of work, I couldn’t imagine having to shave or do makeup in the bathroom. The only overhead light in the room was burned out when I arrived. Staff responded within a couple hours to replace it, but then took half an hour to find a bulb that worked with the light. In short, it was a mediocre Air B&B location, listed on a hotel site. Next time I’d stay in a mediocre hotel that would at least get near immediate service.

Room smelled like it had been smoked in before. There was no way to regulate the temp in the room.

A really nice find. Owner responses were immediate and the room was very charming. With such a great location, it was easy to walk around downtown. And it's a block or two from the library.

Area was a little noisy in the evening. Cars parked in the lot in the very center but were gone by morning. Could use a floor fan since there were no temperature controls for air conditioning. Enjoyed our stay.
