This is a casa/room in an apartment style complex. The complex is in a convention location for Old Town, the ferries, and the P12. Unfortunately, the complex and casa are not very clean. The casa smells of smoke, as the tenants that live there smoke a lot, even though the room is "non-smoking". Additionally, the shared bathroom, that has 2 doors, 1 going into your room and 1 going into the common area of the casa, does not lock between the bathroom and casa. So anyone can walk in on you when you are using the bathroom. We've stayed in about 40 casas over the 2 months we've spent in Cuba and this was by far the worst. We are very well aware of the obstacles that Cuban's face, and "is Cuba" after all, but we also know casa owners can make a nice home for themselves and their paying customers. Aside from our beachside casa in La Boca, Trinidad, this was our most expensive casa this visit. Be aware, the room faces a very "lively" calle and only has window louvers to block out noise...so it was by far the noisiest room we had in Havana or all of Cuba. Luckily, I sleep through anything! Also note, there is no door bell at the gate into the complex or sign for the casa, so gaining access to the casa to checkin is next to impossible. If you do get through the gate, go up 3 flights and you'll see the casa sign on the wall. This information is missing from the booking details. Luckily we met someone who knows them. We would not stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed this casa stay in Old Havana. The neighbourhood is very friendly vibrant and fun. Dayami and Miguel are a very friendly couple. Great hosts, welcoming and definitely made us feel welcomed. We felt very safe at all times and were able to ask our hosts for help any time and they always did their best to help us. Weather is was with directions, ordering safe taxis and with information about Havana infrastructure.

Spent 2 nights here. Arrived on the Saturday after a very long flight to Havana from London via Madrid (2 flights). Didn't sleep the night before so already tired. A party was happening in the flats above (drunk Cubans singing Marc Anthony songs badly with some banging). It was funny at first but with the 5 hour time difference and late arrival it soon became exhausting. I used earplugs but it was like trying to sleep in a nightclub or the front row of a rock concert! This property should not be renting out the room on a Saturday. It isn't fair to people. Sunday night was fine.

It was not real as it was being shown on the homepage. The are was loud and the streets were dirty. Very loud surroundings and the room is very narrow . I had to move out after staying there for one night.
