The room was full of the smell of cigarette smoke. When I went in, I couldn't breathe and my eyes were stinging. I requested another room, but was told that was the only room available. In today's world, who would want to stay in a room where the entire room smells like cigarettes, from the walls to the bedding and bathroom? It didn't matter that it was small and old. It just needs to be kept clean. However, the smell of cigarette smoke that did not go away even if the window was open for several hours on a midwinter day was a very headache-inducing experience. I slept with a mask on all night (I didn't even go into bed and lie down or change into my pajamas.) and ran away before dawn. It felt like my hair smelled like cigarette smoke and it was an experience I never want to go through again.

Everyone is very friendly and smiles.
I was greeted every time I passed a staff member.
My room was cozy and clean.
I also liked how easy it was to walk everywhere.
The Ohari Park is beautiful and near by.
It's also an enjoyable walk to seaside Momichi and the tower-if you like walking!
I would definitely stay here again.
Staff members, thank-you!!

A good bed, but the walls were very stained and dirty, also the bathroom had mold growing in many places. But a convenient place to stay if you are going to the Korean Consulate.

Easy access from Tonjinmachi, Tenjin and Nishijin Station. Close location to Ohori Park, and about 15 minute walk to Yahoo Dome. Great location if you are to a concert or baseball game. The price is very reasonable. The room is basic and no frills but you will spending more time outside and exploring the rest of Fukuoka. Only two stops away from busy and lively Tenjin District or one stop away from the more residential and mellow Nishijin District which has the Mexican restaurant, Ell Borracho Carbon. This branch of the local Mexican restaurant franchise has the best service from the warm and friendly staff. The staff at Heiwada were are warm and friendly and understand a bit of English. I asked for a taxi and they called right away and taxi came in 5 minutes. Breakfast buffet has enough variety of hot and cold items for one or two days of stay. It is very convenient since there are not many choices for early morning dining within walking area except 7-11. Definitely, worth its value for privacy, price and convenience if you are planning to enjoy the parks, stadium or shopping and entertainment that is all within 20 minutes away.

The hotel is clean and tidy. It is closed to the subway station. If you are with luggage, the exit with elevator is just 2 mins more walk. The condition is good, but the room is lack of power supply plugs. Everything is fine, and the room area is acceptable, not too small.

pro: short walk from the metro station. staff can speak english. fast check in and check out. room with attached bathroom, tv and kettle. free wifi (but have to rent a router from the counter, give some deposit and get back the deposit after return to them). water pressure is strong, same as air cond. very comfortable bed and two pillows was given.
con: nothing for surrounding. door soundproof is bad, can hear what people are talking at the corridor.

Near the subway was a bonus; it was 1/2 a block away from Tojinmachi station exit 2. Great for getting around the city! A couple of good restaurants next door to the hotel, along with a 7-11 right next the subway station! The room had ample space for a Japanese hotel room, although the carpet was old, cheap, and industrial, and it had a strange odor. I had to go the Korean consulate for a work visa, so it was a perfect location for that. Love Fukuoka and Japan. It's such a clean and pretty place.

Small, clean hotel for budget travelers. Not many comfort amenities, but all of the necessary ones. EXCELLENT location for tourists or visitors looking to visit the museums, parks, and other landmarks in Fukuoka like Ohori Park, the Yahoo! Dome, or The Hakata Tower. 100m from Tojinmachi subway station. Checkout time however is a bit early at 10am however.
