Friendly staff. No amenities in room. No coffee maker. No ironing board. Quite sparse. Not warm and cozy.

Our stay was awesome! Such a nice and gorgeous spot, we will be back again for sure!!

I have stayed here twice. Once for business, once for a social outing.
My 1st stay (April) was with a queen bed and the temperature in the room was way too warm with no window to open.
My 2nd stay (November) was with the 2 double beds with a window to open so the temperature was much more comfortable. The 2 double beds are great for people who want additional privacy and the bathrooms and shower have a great amount of space.
My major complaint would be the comfort of the beds. For a new hotel, the beds are extremely hard and very uncomfortable.
Never had an issue with noise, either from the lobby (live DJ on Friday and Saturday nights) and/or construction.
Friendly staff, although because you check in at the bar can be quite a line-up.

Just a nice fun little hotel. New, clean, nice pillows, good size bed. Feels like staying in an IKEA for some reason 😊 we like it, not our first stay

This is a cool hotel with a unique aesthetics . The staff was great. The room is industrial minimalist which is cool but not super functional. No dressers or nightstand so nowhere lay your phone or put your stuff. Everything goes on the floor. Where the experience really lets you down is the most uncomfortable bed imaginable. A hard futon mattress with a quilted topper. Awful.

It was great. Very cool vibe. Easy check in. Clean and fresh. Great location. The bed was very comfortable. my only complaint at all is that there is no in-room coffee maker.

Very nice new hotel that feels very much like a hostel stay. Very comfortable though.

Stayed in Moxy Halifax for 3 days.
What I like:
1. The property is well maintained. It is neat every where, reception area, lobby, corridors and room.
2. The staff was polite and attentive. Requested for clearing trash and when I returned to room, they got it done and also replaced towels.
3. Proximity to Downtown is advantage.
4. Bed was cozy. My toddler daughter took long naps.
What could have been better:
1. We checked in at 3:30AM and obviously, needed a good sleep. However woke up at 6AM to a false fire alarm that didn't stop for while.
2. The room on 2nd floor had view to a balcony of adjacent condo which was few metres away. Had to keep the blinds on for privacy.
3. The concrete ceiling of room is weird. Made room look sub par.
4. No child seat was available in dinning area. So we took take outs to have breakfast in room.

Fun atmosphere and decor. Very convenient to downtown attractions.

It is far from popular places. The room was much smaller than expected.

Not the type we usually stay at. No fridge, coffee maker or microwave in the room. For the amount paid I would at the very least want that. We were not told about internet access, I was able to figure it out. Very industrial looking, no real warmth to the property.

We were told at Check-in that the air condition was not working. So....will it get fixed? Our room was at 24 Celcius all night. No offer of any compensation, free parking, fans....
Our room had a very awkward set up of the two beds, which were "head to head". Created a weird layout and no way to watch the TV from in bed.

Cool bar. I was charged more at check out than what I paid on Expedia. 40 dollars more

Loved it here! Fun, vibrant and the cutest room! Everything about this place was well thought out, from the layout of the room to all of its sweet amenities! I loved the mushroom lantern, the eclectic lamps, cute rotary phone and the best shower!

I like modern and this is it. I had been cleaning my daughter’s new apartment and looked a fright , old dirty clothes, and I was treated with respect. It will be my go to in Halifax. ❤️

Convenient, walkable location. Room was clean but had no storage (no closet, dresser, drawers, etc.). If used, the few clothes pegs would have left items hanging over the TV screen. Some design features were thoughtful (effective, creative wayfinding elements at elevator lobbies) but no power outlet near the room's worksurface (and its uncomfortable folding chair). Bathroom had reliable hot water but no bathtub and a nightlight couldn't be turned off by any method I could find. It lit up the unit all night (as bathroom door was an unsettling frosted glass) though I was grateful for the window's blackout blind. Also didn't help to have condo construction next door. Repeated problems with the hotel's fire alarm system went on for one afternoon then, next morning, jolted me awake 2 hours before my alarm.

Rooms were small and had very little furniture. We were in one with 2 Queen beds. The beds were Headboard to Headboard so made watching the TV next to impossible. Might be better for a younger crowd.

The overall theme of the building was great, and had a new smell.

The hotel is nice but my room had no window curtain, I reported the item to the front desk but they were not helpful, they indicated that the item could not be fixed until the next day when I was checking out, so useless to me. My room window was about 30 feet from several condo windows and balconies, so absolutely no privacy, and when the sun came up at about 6 am, the room was full of sunshine so a very early wakeup, was on vacation and did not intent to get up till about 9. Nice property but bad service

Everything is perfect. Parking is little bit hard to find.

Hotel was nice and close to harbour front. Bedroom had lots of space but no closet/cabinet for storage.

Loved the decor but found some of the staff under-trained.I was over charged at breakfast and then had to stop the front desk from charging me again for the room. That happened twice. I also noted the very crappy laptops staff were working on. Certainly not Marriot caliber.

What an awesome place! The decor is so much fun! Staff was amazing and one of the cleanest room we ever encountered. We only wish we had known about the bar being open until midnight as we were right over it and couldn’t go to sleep when we needed to. We will return!

It really leans into the millennial aesthetic
