The property is quaint and clean, as it is a newer facility. The staff is young and eager, so I tipped everyone GENEROUSLY. While they are listed on Expedia, they do not accept payment through Expedia and do not honor the prices. Check-in was eventful, as they insisted they did not receive payment via Expedia. I paid AGAIN and worked with Expedia for a refund. The hotel did not honor that I paid for the breakfast option, calling me at 1:30 am to advise I did not have that option.
The stay was fine. We did notice the thinness of the walls. It was as if the men in the room next door were in our room. Also, since it was sparsely occupied, the maids seem to hang out in one room for the majority of the day.
Checking out, I stopped by the desk to express my gratitude but was asked to pay for the water consumed in the room. He, literally, asked me for $54. After much back and forth, my Arabic-speaking husband sought out the owner. Raised voices and 10 minutes later, it was discovered that the charge for water was $24. The young man at the desk, apparently, tried to pocket the difference. Disappointing, as I tipped him generously. The owner blamed Expedia for the issues and wished us a good journey.
Don’t drink the water and do your math.
