My husband chose the hotel, because it has very good reviews. We were satisfied booking there, but, of course, like any other hotel, it was not easy to rate it close to perfect.
It was very good service (breakfast was customized a bit for us) from the hotel staff. The place is quiet, but, sadly, it is also zero nightlife in the Bulabog area. Also, every time we needed something, we had to pay for the tricycle (one time the Hop In bus) to go to D´Mall or the beach front there. I think we only used the Bulabog Beach twice. In the early afternoon it was already low tide, compared to Stations 1-3. So if you are not an early riser, you won´t enjoy the beach in Bulabog to swim. Luckily, the hotel pool is a good alternative, especially for late afternoon or early evening dip.
On the first day we checked in, hubby noticed a strange smell (sort of piss) in the room, but he didn´t say a thing. A day after, the smell was still there, so he told the reception, and requested for bedsheet change and room cleaning. It became okay, but somehow there was still a hint of that strange scent. I told him that maybe it was the soap or something that the hotel was using, but he disagreed.
Anyway, the hotel is nice, but it is not new. There were small things that already need to be fixed there. It is important for the local and foreign customers. I mean, if the hotel wants to maintain the good reviews for years, you know.

We had a great stay at Banana Bay Boracay! The staff were super nice and always smiling, which made us feel really welcome. The location on the quieter side of the island was perfect for relaxing.
The rooms were comfy and clean, and we had everything we needed. I highly recommend Banana Bay Boracay if you're looking for a friendly and relaxing place to stay. We'll definitely be back!

Great resort in a quieter part of Boracay. Within walking distance of many of the island attractions. There was a water leak from the sink in the first room I had, but I let the staff know and they promptly provided me with another room. The food and drinks at the Monkey Tree restaurant in the hotel were phenomenal and they have good happy hour deals from 5 pm to 8 pm on alcoholic beverages. Highly recommended for those seeking a relaxing hotel resort experience at a good price.

This is always my hotel of choice when I stay in Boracay. It is right in front of one of the less crowded beaches and is conveniently located close to D*Mall and easy walking distance to other beaches.

The rooms were very comfortable and the property was on the beach close to D*Mall. The TV in the room is in a wall panel that opens in to the bathroom which allows you to watch television both in the bedroom or while taking a bath. The staff was super helpful and friendly. I thought it was a very nice hotel.

Our stay at Banana Bay was exceptional from check in to check out. I travelled with my wife and we were treated very well from the get go.
Half way through our stay, the mess around COVID-19 began to unfold and we found it very difficult to get information around the situation and our travel plans. Cid, the hotel manager kept us and other guests informed, phoning various airports and doing everything he could to help us get home. Through this stressful time, being in the hotel felt like a safe haven amongst the chaos. Every person on staff were kind to us throughout our stay, even though the situation was having an impact on them too.
I couldn’t recommend Banana Bay highly enough.

A dreadful place worse than a building site. This "resort" is basically a glorified hostel. The rooms are very good, only a year old, but the noise of construction and demolition is horrendous. The hotel conveinently don't mention it on their website, or on Expedia and other booking websites. Only after you make your reservation, will you receive an email warning you of the situation. The govetnment has forced all buildings along this coast to be at least 25m from the start of the beach, and none were. There is no road or walk way to the property. Next door to the hotel, is a shanty town, with more noise and filth. On top of all that, this side of the island is incredibly windy and I mean really windy all day and night. My advice is to forget Banana Bay and forget Boracay completely. Totally over-rated and basically a shanty town.

First, let me start by saying Boracay is NOT the party destination that it once was.
This may disappoint the traveller looking to experience something similar to Angeles City or Makati night life.
That being said, this hotel is away from the nightlife and hustle, being a newer hotel, they are still doing touchups and renos, which woke me up my first morning.
It's on the windy side of the island, and that isn't a bad thing, but there's always a breeze.
Once you arrive at the hotel, you're a bit let down visually; although the hotel is right on the beach, the beach itself is not groomed, and there's lot's of cement formations directly in front. Not the postcard beach you might have come for.
The staff are extremely polite, as our most in the Philippines, and you can tell they take pride in their work. The staff are the only reason I didn't give a lower review.
The overall decor in the hotel is clean, minimalist, with a good layout, but definetly not 4 or 5 star. The rooms are basic, with good a/c and amenities. I loved the shower/ tub arrangement. Room service later in the evening is poor to nonexistent, with limited options available.
If the price was less, I wouldn't have anything negative to say, but in my opinion, for location, level of quality and features, it's overpriced. I paid less for 5 star hotels in makati and Angeles City, with better bang for my dollar.
Hopefully, once they are at 100%, and the beach gets cleaned up, it will be a better stay.
