This is our 2nd night here, we extended with one more as we found it comfortable for the discounted price. swimming pool has good sunbeds, but pool is much smaller than it looks if you wish to swim. Friendly and kind staff. spacious room, but very little furniture in the room, beside the bed and a desk. great spacious bathroom and shower with much warm water and good preassure. would go back when prices is on discount...regulare i not find it worth it.

Hi, when arrived feelt the room lacked a few items, fixed via housekeeping...no hassel with that, but should not been so. Big spacious room, good A/C in main room, the was an extra bed, here was no nightstand or such. Big bathroom, very nice hot water and good space in shower, friendly and serviceminded staff. Nice pool outdoor, that looks bigger than it is if you wish swim, if onlly wish soak yourself s good. great garden, with varity of places to stay. breakfastt was adequit, but challanging due to crows flying and try eat your food or the food stay in the buffet. When arrive after dark, try find your key, is difficult as the number on key is same color as the wood, so hard to read . would recommend they paint the numbers in white as improvement. when prices is discounted i would stay there again, for full price, i feel is over priced. that is my view. in short not a bad place.

We really loved our stay, nice location only 2min walk to the beutiful beach. The staff made our stay even more special with their friendly smiles. Gabriel our waitor was so nice. Food was good and no need to go somewhere else for dinner. Very convenient with kids.
Small and friendly hotel we do recommend.

First time visiting Zanzibar. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The property is convenient for it’s location to Nungwi beach but could use some updating. The bathroom needed racks added for towels. A chair would have been nice in case I wanted to dine in the room.
Art work on the walls would add more life to the room. Noticed cobwebs on the ceiling in the bedroom. Also it appeared to be blood on the stairs that never got cleaned off while I was there, which was 7 days.

This hotel is in a great location. Beach access is a five minute walk, there are at minimum 8 restaurants in the vicinity, and you can grab a taxi as soon as you step off the property. Rooms were cleaned daily, and the staff was very helpful. The only issue is that the WiFi was not very reliable… Which worked since it encouraged us to unplug and relax.

Overall, our stay at the Nungwi Garden Boutique hotel in Zanzibar was a mixed experience. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, and the check-in process was smooth and pleasant. The hotel's location was convenient, allowing easy access to the nearby beach and restaurants.
However, there were several downsides that affected my stay. Despite the hotel's size, the breakfast area had only four tables, leading to a lack of seating on multiple occasions. This inconvenience could have been mitigated if the broken chair on my balcony had been fixed or replaced as promised. Unfortunately, despite reporting the issue on the first day, no action was taken.
One of the major drawbacks was the room's proximity to the housekeeping alleyway. Starting as early as 6:40 AM, the noise from loud chatting, banging, clashing, and other activities in the alleyway disrupted the tranquility of the room. The alleyway was also utilized as a break room throughout the day, resulting in the constant intrusion of loud conversations.
Another source of disturbance was the loud music played at the pool and restaurant area until around 12PM, even though the venue was often sparsely occupied in the evenings. This inconsistency in noise control affected the overall ambiance and relaxation that one would expect in a hotel setting.
In conclusion, while the room itself and the check-in experience were satisfactory, the additional mentioned points detracted from the overall quality of our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. With only 6 or 7 rooms, it's nice and quiet. Pool is large enough, fruit, fresh juice and pancakes breakfasts really nice.
Staff very friendly, namely Abel at the reception and Fatima at the breakfast were the ones we were in touch the most and both are really kind.
Parking great, we were the only ones with the car and the hotel has about 4-5 spots for cars in the yard, so it's nice and safe.
Location great, a two minute walk to our fave brach in the whole Zanzi. We've seen quite a few, but concluded this really is the best one.
Not everything was perfect thought - we have first stayed in room no. 6 that had multiple issues, mainly incredibly low water pressure in the shower making it almost impossible to wash hair (while water pressure in the sink was great), another thing is that it was very difficult to open and close doors to the hotel room - the doors grinds the door frame and lastly half of the light bulbs were not working including lights above the sink. The room was really gloomy.
We have changed rooms half way through our stay and the other room was great, but its a pity that the owner can't be bothered replacing light bulbs and adjusting the door in no. 6. I get that the water pressure might be a big job to fix, but it needs to be done.

The Property was in a good location just minutes from the beach. The beach was nice except for the salespeople constantly trying to get you to buy something. The beds were nice, the towels were a little rough. I know they don't have a dryer to make them fluffy but the quality could have been better. The bathroom had some plumbing issue but they were quick to fix them. The front desk girl was the best. She was looking out for us. It seems the manager/owner was on premises but didn't seem to care if we were there until the end to ask us for a good review. Overall the property was very nice. The restuarant had good food and and attentive staff.

All fine but Breakfast was the poorest thing as plagued by wasps as food not covered. Using a sandwich toaster to toast bread which is ridiculous as takes forever and people waiting and isn’t actually a toaster! I think they need to think through their breakfast set up as it isn’t working. Get some decent coffee and cafetierres coffee is everywhere in tanzania no need to use Africafe unless you want to be a back paneers
