Overall, considering we booked only a few weeks prior to our stay, the motel met our basic needs. The room did look like it was recently recked by a previous tenant, as we compared to the room our daughter was staying in. The staff was very helpful in getting us what we needed. I would mention that the kitchen materials were sparse and of the mis-matched variety. But for a dog friendly motel, in easy walking distance to the boardwalk, beach, and dog park, it met our needs. I would stay here again, but would be better prepared for using the kitchen. The coffee maker takes grounds ( they have filters on hand), there’s no pot holder or dish towel, no ice bin to fill from the ice machine. This could have been just our room, but be prepared just in case. The ACME is a 2 minute drive.

I seen a mouse run across the floor, I immediately went down and told the woman working at the front desk. She moved me to another room and then not even 2 hours later there was a whole family in that same room!!!! The room I was relocated into smelled like urine and there was mold all over underneath the kitchen sink and it was hidden by a towel! And my window did not lock and I went down to tell the same woman that told me she would check with the owner to see what she could do about my mouse situation and never got back to me for over 2 hours, said she would have maintenance take care of it and they put a screw in the window to hold it open. There was about 50 gnats flying around in that room with an open floor leading to what look to be like an underground basement. I had to cover it with a 100 lb dresser with myself and my child. I was told I can get a refund but I would have to leave right away! I mean come on I'm not telling you that you have outdated the walls and blankets, I am telling you I just seen a mouse run across my floor! And then to put me in an even dirtier room..I would have drove home but I cannot drive at night so I was forced to stay there all night and then leave the second it got light out. The next morning I went down to complain to the owner which I told to be there at 9:00 a.m. and there was no one there and I waited until almost noon see if I can talk to somebody and the door was still locked and nobody was in sight! Never stay here!!!

This motel is no frills but in an excellent locality close to the beach and boardwalk. It's everything that you expect from the information given provided before booking. Would definitely recommend especially for pet owners

I’m very torn about what to say as this place is dear to my mother’s childhood memories. Our second night there was a leak in the ceiling that resulted in the tile falling on the beds around 5:45 am. (Minutes away from hitting my toddler.) We lost a whole nights sleep and some of our bags were soaked. Management couldn’t change our room until the next day. We were offered 1 night refund (but not the taxes and the 40 extra person per day fee) and a late checkout. I’m still frustrated that we didn’t receive at least 2 night refund. However, location was great and the pool was nice enough. The staff treated my parents very well. The accommodations are pretty run down but we were only sleeping there.

Great hotel , nothing fancy but everything was clean and ac was working . Pool is nice . Dogs allowed is a big + . 2 minutes walking distance from the boardwalk and the beach . Would recommend !

The people running the place were nice. I had a one-bed room with no window, so it was kind of dreary. There was a window in the bathroom, but the blinds didn't go all the way down. The bed wasn't very comfortable.

At check in we were not given the room that we booked, no explanation was given. The bed was not clean. The pillows had dirt in them and dog hair and what appeared to be pubic hair stuck all over the back side of the bed spread. There was no dish soap, pot holders, or sponges. Dishes that were in the cabinets had food stuck on them. Upon opening the silverware drawer the silverware was so dirty the smell of rotting food came out. I’ve machines weren’t plugged in either. Front curtain was see through and there wasn’t a blind to cover the window This was very disappointing as the advertisement made the place seem beautiful.

Horribly in need of updating but very clean. Only one room key available, which makes it difficult with two people sharing a room with differing schedules. Ice machine broken at a beach side motel with no alternative? Very inconvenient to have a 15 minute walk in 90 degree heat each way to a convenience store to buy ice that was mostly melted upon return.

The 2 bedroom apartment was in poor condition! Bathroom floor, refrigerator exterior not cleaned, took long time to get hot water; curtain rods in kitchen broken; bathroom sink coming off wall; no hot pad for oven/stove; not enough plates & utensils for 4 people! Needs complete overhaul!!

Unfortunately I left at about 1130 pm on the second night due to food poisoning, This was in way the fault of the Motel. Check in was great the room was great, AC worked very well, even though i never had a chance to enjoy the pool, it looked nice and over all I would stay again

The odor inside room was unbearable and disgusting, probably from lots of people previously smoking in room and mold mildew from leaks and odor from dirty conditions in room. I kept the bathroom window and kitchenette window open the entire time I was in the room. If I had no windows to open, I would have slept inside my car. Also the visible filth and dirt was all over this room and I took 18 pictures to prove this to everybody. Baseboard moldings at floor were filthy, lamp shade was black mold filthy, power bar on desk was filthy, etc, etc.. This mold and odor in this room is probably harmful to the health of a human being. This Motel should be shut down immediately until these problems are corrected. And it is probably not even possible for the strong odor to be removed from this room. So probably time to condemm this Motel and tear it down for the good of all !!! I left after one night stay and I was supposed to stay two nights but no way, one night was more than I could Handle !!!

This place was a huge dump!! The beds springs is what i slept on not a mattress, the toilet was not bolted in, the room stinks and i mean stinks!!! While stepping out to the beach in the am the room next rooms door was open and they literally sprayed the beds with some cleaning supply without changing the bed sheets thankfully my brothers was at Athens 11 and we stayed the next night there i wasn’t staying in this trash of a place… they do no clean the rooms they spray and use a rag to clean beds the bathroom was dirty hair everywhere dirt and scum. This is no exaggeration… i own a business and I know how into it is to take care of customers… i went to office and they clearly did not give to cares….

I have mixed feelings about this place. The location is close enough to the boardwalk but it’s quite a hike to the beach (we walked all the way down Moreys pier to avoid walking on the sand.) My husband was referring to our room as the prison cell because it was a small white cubicle with no windows or decor and just a small table and a bed, I guess you get what I put paid for. Looks like every other room was nicer so I’m sure people have better experiences than us. The pool was clean and there’s an outdoor shower to wash off, didn’t see a bathroom near the pool area though. Not a bad price, not a bad location, just not the nicest place by any means. The bathroom was renovated so I have no complaints there. No issues with parking. Staff was very friendly. Could def use some new beds, linens, and decor. Other guests were a little rough around the edges.
