This is a real medieval castle! You travel in time when staying at Giomici. The hosts are a wonderful team, excellent communication and service. The room was comfortable and super-clean. We stayed once for the supper, it was tasty and reasonably priced. The breakfast was plenty and fresh. The locally produced coffee was a nice surprise.

The castle is lovely, it's a real 12th century historical site quite far from the nearest village (unless you drive there by car). It looks like it's a fantastic place to hide from the rest of the world at summer. Unfortunately, at winter it's quite chilly in the room (which is a peculiarity of all castles I guess) and you won't be able to enjoy outdoor facilities as much as you could when it's warmer. The host is very friendly and helpful. All in all, I recommend you to check out the castle, especially during warmer months.

nicely refurbished medieval castle in a beautiful, quiet location with a great view. Andrea, the owner, will give you a private tour of the Giomici property and good advice about where to eat or visit.

The castle is restored in a very nice way. The room we had had a decent and harmonious interiour. It is perfectly feasible for a relaxing stay. Around the castle there are many interesting villages with medieval history to visit.
For a special dinner a tasty homemade meal with local products and wine was served in a very nice atmosphere of the (small) old knights hall.

The Castle experience per se was great, but it was surprising that at checkout i was asked to pay for the stay although I already prepaid for it via hotels.com
I ended up disputing the charge and getting a lecture by my credit card collection department on how to blame hotel.com rather than the hotel owner, which was clearly wrong as I never ran into such situation with hotels.com so i trust them way more than credit cards operators and shady hotels owners

Nice place high up on a hill. Lovely room, like living in a medieval castle. We took the bus and it was difficult to find the right bus stop which resulted in a longer walk than expected. Very friendly and helpful staff.
