Amazing service throughout the entire week's stay, memorable personnel were Cecilia and Monserrat at check in and all the service staff in all of the restaurants. Lots of dining options, standouts are the steak house and Habibi, the mediterranean restaurant. Plenty of coffee, dessert stands, bars, and entertainment. Rhe value here is extraordinary. The resort is very, very large. No real ocean view, as the property is bordered by foliage. The Moon Palace Grand clearly cares about making guests happy and it shows. Definitely worth checking out!

We booked 10 days in the Grand Moon Palace for a family of 3. On arrival and being a VIP Expedia member we were automatically upgraded, however, the guy at check in advised we can upgrade to one of the best rooms for and extra $200 which we agreed. I then checked to see they took $2000. On questioning this later and unpacking, he said he told me $2000, which is nonsense, so I requested for the money to be returned and we would stick to our original upgraded room which was free.
There was paint all over the woodwork in the rooms, broken/cracker mirror, patches of plaster with different colours of paint.
Corridors were full of food and plates from people getting room service. Food and sauce all strewn across the corridors.
Plaster patches and broken walls in corridors. Paths and walkways all broken tiles, holes in concreted where I twisted my ankle twice!
Plastic glasses were left laying around for days, especially at the beach.
Booked a trip to the Jolly Rodger Pirate ship through Grand Moon Palace Concierge at almost $280 and on the return to hotel by minibus, due to carrying a sleeping toddler of my partner forgot her bag which contained cash, my daughters Ipad and her little toys. When we reported it as soon as we got to room, they were not in the slightest interested and advised it was a 3rd party so it will take a few days to find out from the driver. After 2 days they told us, sorry there was no bag left on the bus, which was absolute nonsense. stole money from room

This is an amazing property if you have kids. We did different activities every day with our 2 and 4 year olds. The water park is awesome and there’s stuff for all different ages there. The playroom is amazing and the staff there was so sweet and helpful. It is a very large property so they use golf carts to take you from different locations, we only waited on these carts once coming from the water park, otherwise they’re everywhere. The only downside is that the water at the beach isn’t great and full of sargassum so you can’t really swim, but they more than make up for that with all of the other amenities. Overall we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend if you have children.

The Moon Palace the Grand Cancun is a great place for everyone. It has everything you could possibly imagine. The amenities are endless and the service is of great quality. We had the ability to go to the two nearby hotels for food and to the beach Palace for the Cancun water. We made reservations and went to all the restaurants in the facility. It was a great time. The water slides were a hit for the children and the arcades and swim up Pool in our room with were great experience. We will definitely visit again very soon.

Me and my family had a great experience at the grand and would recommend.
Here are a few points to consider.
* resort is too big
* I would consider rooms are basic compared to the rest of the hotel. Beds are smaller, not accurately described.
* Family & kids oriented
* Due to the resort being to big, if you don’t have kids, there are areas where you can stay away from them
* Food and entertainment is top level
Would like to recognize these people that made our stay
* Gabriela at la cantina during the huateque taco party
* Guillermo at Tavola was super attentive and helped us in all our questions and requests.
* Alejandra Coronel service at Habibi was exceptional made our experience at the restaurant great.
* Dianely at the coffee shop next to the checkout was great. A good way to say good bye to the grand service!

Property is enormous and very well kept. There’s a lot of people but because of the large space, you don’t feel crowded. Definitely utilized the golf cart metro system they created. It’s pretty quick and easy. loved all the different activities - shows every night, arcade, playroom, water park, several pools, organized group events at the pools. The lunch & dinner at the individual restaurants is better than the buffet. The breakfast at the buffet is pretty good. The drinks are a bit weak but that’s ok with me because I’m not a big drinker. It was fun trying different cocktails that I normally wouldn’t. Use the app. It makes life easier to make reservations for the restaurants.
The service is impeccable. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. I really feel they really took care of my family. We made an effort to tip, like for the housekeeper, servers, and bartenders. Just a few dollars. They seemed very appreciative. We only had one negative experience with a golf cart driver. I believe he did not like his job and disliked tourists, which I can’t help being.
The hotel room was spacious, clean and bright. We were lucky to be close to the lobby, which made it easy to get to the restaurants and main golf cart stop. The cons are that noise travels easily. We could hear the children next door crying and talking all the time. Noise travels down the hallway from far away. The bed sheets were stained and beds are way too soft. These are not deal breakers though.

The property is massive, it’s actually too big. We really enjoyed the splash park, the steakhouse, the speakeasy. Dislikes coffee takes 30-40 to order at certain times, certain food items are no seasoned and or cooked that well.
We were give a room credit but were told since we didn’t tell the stores we had credit (we put it on our room) we ended up having to come out of pocket rather than use the $150 credit.
