Nice, Clean, Quiet, Modern Hotel for a stopover in Brest.
We were touring around the Brittany Coast, and we stayed here for one night, on our way from Morlaix, en route to Quimper.
This hotel has all you would expect from a Mercure.
Location-wise, it is a 5 mins drive / 15 mins walk from the city centre, and the start of the cafes (recommend Kafé Kanggui), coffee shops & shopping area that begins on Rue Louis Pasteur and runs up Rue Jean Jaurès.

The hotel is less than a year old and Google maps shows it as a construction site. Also, it is a short walk from the Gare down about 100 m in elevation, but the stairs are hard to find and Google doesn't know about them.

New hotel where everyting worked. One unusual design choice was to have the clothes hanging right next to the bed. The issue with the hotel is the location. This was in an industrial harbour area with a few bars, but with about 25 minutes walk mainly through deserted areas to get to the center. Going there in the evening someone tried to rob me.

I stayed four nights at the hotel during a business trip. The room is extremely small with very little space between bed and wall. The desk was tiny and barely enough for my laptop plus mouse pad. The desk chair was very uncomfortable for working. The room was definitely not intended for anybody who needed to do desk work.
The free Internet in the room was unreliable and not usable for a Zoom meeting. The hotel did not offer a paid-for high capacity Internet access. I had to teach two classes remotely. The hotel offered me to use a conference room for that, but even there, the Internet was not stable enough for the Zoom connection and I had to cancel my classes.
I had booked the new hotel expecting excellent technology, and it was very hard for me to find that the technology was much worse than in many other hotels I stayed. If free Internet is low capacity, then I expect to have a paid-for connection that meets modern requirements.
One morning, we missed a taxi, and the counter staff was not willing to call for another taxi - too much to do, was the explanation.
I definitely cannot recommend the hotel to anybody who needs reliable Internet or a place to do some work. Exercising in the room is also not possible - no space!
