They have a policy of only AC during summer and only heating during winter. Even if you feel the room is very hot during winter, you cannot do anything about it. Other than this, we liked everything about this hotel.

Came in, turned the light on, roach runs across the entry way. Called and moved me to a different room but found out they charged me more later on. Thanks.

Beautiful room and clean. Checkin was pleasant. Unfortunately no room service and no pool…2 things we look forward to unwinding with and to classify a 5 star.

For a 4 1/2 star hotel I expected a lot more. While the rooms were spacious, our bathroom had not been updated (still had a shower curtain - and its cleanliness was suspect). The rest of the room was very clean. There was no coffee machine in the room (which is pretty standard at most hotels). There was no car valet. Nobody helped us with our bags. There was no room service.
The location of the hotel is great if you want to visit downtown or the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.
Quite a disappointment!!!

With ongoing construction around the property, loading and off loading was a dance with active traffic lanes. Insufficient accommodation was made for this impediment. Maybe even have someone directing and assisting guests.

My husband and I were going to a Rooftop Concert at Pier 17 NY and chose The Hyatt Centric Wall Street for our stay. The area is perfect, you can walk to just about anything touristy, which is a plus. The hotel itself is clean and the staff are kind and professional. Our only downfall within the hotel was the buffett breakfast. For a higher end hotel, the buffett was not great, more like a Holiday Inn Express type buffet and will cost you a pretty penny.

OFFICIAL COMPLAINT
To whom it may concern:
This is the second complaint I’ve ever written. The egregious action portrayed by your the Hatt Centric Wall Street Hotel was illegal and abusive to my 18-year-old daughter has to be told!
Incident:
On September 6th at 1608 hours my 18-year-old daughter, Sophia, was checking into your Hyatt Centric Hotel Wall Street with her friend. I had paid for the room in full and even called the hotel after making the reservation to confirm they could place her name on the room. All was taken care of, and her special weekend was set. Upon the day in question , Sophia checks into the hotel and was met by Mr. Simeri, front desk clerk, who was rude from the beginning. He told my daughter that she could not check in because she was 18 years old and needed to be 21. Nowhere does it state on your website nor Hotels.com that you need to be 21 to check into your hotel. So now we have two 18-year-old girls, with no place to go in NYC, with a hotel room that’s already paid for, and a desk clerk who can care less. Frantic, Sophia calls me. I ask to speak to Mr. Simeri who refuses to take my call. I asked her to place me on speaker phone. Mr. Simeri finally agreed to call someone but refused to give me the person he spoke with name or number, he then advised me that he will not check her in. After some harsh questioning by me on speaker phone, Mr. Simeri, smacked my daughter’s hand, grabbed her phone, and hung up on me. Now I’m scared, we have a p

Hotel has no ice buckets but there are 2 Ice machines on property. There was a leak in my room which caused the rug to get wet. Informed the staff twice and nobody came to the room to fix the matter.

No glasses at all in the room, not even a paper cup. Says and the paperwork water service, no water either, no ice bucket. Went down to reception because I was hung up on when I called about it. I was told to go to the restaurant and get a glass off a table, was approached uncomfortably from a guy, pretty much thought I was stealing a glass. No room service, road works outside so hard to get to the hotel and one bath towel in the room so I had to shower with a hand towel as housekeeping did not bring anymore, lastly rooftop bar closed at 10pm so never got there

My son recently moved to FiDi and I wanted to spend the weekend with him. The hotel room was spacious, clean and well-appointed. It was convenient to his apartment, the Wall St. area and close to trains. Highly recommend. My only caveat was I didn't like having to book through a third party site. When I called reservations, no one picked up. I called 3 times. But this is the way of the world I guess. I still like calling and speaking to a live person.

I like the location, cleanliness, and spaciousness of the room. I did not like that there was no draws for storage, the TV was broken and we had to switch rooms, the cooler in the new room barely cooled and the shower head was broken which sprayed water everywhere. And to make it all worse on the final night we lost hot water to the rooms for the whole evening and night.

The parking next to the hotel has special discount for the guests but when I called up the hotel, they never told me about it and I ended up paying the full price online for the parking.
Secondly, when I called house keeping for room cleaning, the people used to turn up after 3-4 hrs with an excuse that they have more than 200 rooms to clean and this is only speed thsy can make themselves available.
Breakfast is terrible, very oily & expensive. Best to eat at Starbucks or Pret A Manger nearby. My 8yr old daughter just drank a glass of juice & ate 1 sausage and they charged her for the full buffet. So whatever u complain to them about, they’ll say “Sorry we understand but the manager is not available & so we cannot do anything about it”
