About this house rental
Summary:
Freshy renovated historic Algiers Point 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom home. Just two blocks to the ferry! Featuring tons of the historic charm, but updated with all the modern conveniences one could ask for. Soaring 12-foot celings and antique heart pine floors throughout. Wonderful porch out front, and enclosed courtyard out back. Located close to playgrounds, restaurants, coffee shops, bars, the ferry terminal, and more. Come relax and live like a local in The Point!
The Space:
The house features 2 shotgunned bedrooms, full bathroom, fully stocked kitchen, and formal living and dining rooms. The lovely front porch is perfect for relaxing with a drink, and in the back is an enclosed patio/courtyard complete with a firepit. Please note the term 'shotgunned' means you have to walk through one room to get to the next, there is not a hallway. This is a distinctly classic style of New Orleans architecture. Private washer/dryer below unit on the ground level. Also, please note the front porch and courtyard are shared with the one unit next door.
Guest Access:
This home is a double (duplex) so it shares a dividing wall in the middle. Guests can park one car in the driveway right out front. Other than that the neighborhood is all free street pakring. This neighborhood is exceptionally walkable and only 2 blocks from the ferry terminal.
The Neighborhood:
Historic Algiers Point has a friendly small-town feel—a community where neighbors all know each other. The neighborhood is lined with mature live oak trees and is exceptionally walkable. There are lots of local restaurants, coffee shops, bars, etc. all within walking distance from the home. Algiers Point is surrounded by water and Federal City, so it sometimes feels like a little island, but it is just a five-minute ferry ride from the CBD and French Quarter, so it's the best of both worlds. This home is only two blocks to the ferry terminal or a 10-minute drive to downtown New Orleans.
Interaction with Guests:
We give our guests space but are available when needed. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
