I really can’t say enough good things about our rental experience at the Simpson-Noe house in historic Beaufort. The house was spacious, wonderfully located and extremely well organized and clean for our family. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all great sizes and the beds were some of the most comfortable beds we’ve stayed in away from home. I loved the storage in the closets for each of the rooms as we were traveling with little kids, so we had to bring a lot with us. The extra spacious closets made me feel like our stuff was not taking over the rental. The house is conveniently located to anything you’d want to walk to in downtown. Great bars, restaurants and the most beautiful waterfront. We caught several sunsets while there after a 3-5 minute walk downtown. The Simpson-Noe house was definitely one of the cleanest and well stocked houses we’ve stayed at while renting. A perfect escape from Raleigh with so much charm! We also drove to Fort Macon public beach access several days and it was such a quick and convenient drive. Took no more than 10 minutes and was a great beach location for our family. Not too crowded and had a snack bar and showers available. I would recommend this rental to anyone! Such a gem in downtown Beaufort, beautifully kept and in an extremely convenient location.

Several issues with this rental. For $10,000.00 for 2 weeks, you would think this house would provide better accommodations.1. Only 1/2 a roll of toilet paper in the bath with no spares in the house2. The floor is very weak and someone could get hurt3. Advertisement said there was a BBQ? There was a cheap grill on the porch with no charcoal available. We saw the nice gas grill in the shed.4. Not enough towels, some were stained, no bathmat upstairs.5. The stairs are dangerous, wife got hurt on them.6. Giant Roaches. Had to kill a few.7. The kitchen was stocked with very cheap utensils, and not enough large pots to cook a family meal. 8. The corkscrew was broken.9. There was a Keurig coffee maker and only a few DECAF cups. That was a rude awakening - literally. Even cheap hotels provide a few good coffee cups.
