Visited the place for 6 nights. The place has seen it’s best days. Three things was nice: pool, air condition in the room and the fridge in the room was big and kept our own drinks cold. The firs room we had was quite bad, things such toilet seat was broken and the shower was dirty etc. We asked repairement and got a better room from 3 rd floor. It was better but cleaning of the shower and toilet should be better, a lot of moisture and mole in the shower cabin. Sheet was clean and the room was cleaned daily. Some times we missed towels that we needed to reguest again few times. Staff was ok but certainly some things and information was not passed between the staff. Breakfest was ok, bread, coffee, yogurt, ham and cheese and eggs and bacon. When you stay more than 1 night you will probably want something more like fresh tomato, fruits etc. but it kept the hunger sway so as said Ok. There has been a pizzeria in the hotel but was closed. Probably we so not visit the place again so it might be a good choise to check some other hotel.

hotel Rivus is located in a very good spot. It is easy accesible with a big parking. the town center is only 10 minuts walking, or you can rent a bike for the day -15 euro just across the hotel.
Gardaland is less than 5 km away, and the zoo is about a 20 minutes drive away.
the hotel room is nice and very clean, breakfast is ok, there is a adequate choice.
the staff is extremly friendly and helpful. i cannot recommend this place ednough

First of all, the staff was seemingly nice, but didn't direct us to our room even though we were clearly headed the wrong way.
Secondly, the room had cobwebs on the ceiling.
The bed was the worst part. We had booked a double bed, and got 2 single beds that are just close together, impossible to cuddle as they drift apart making someone fall to the floor.
But that's not the end of it, the bed is rock hard, and the pillows are paper thin, however there are additional pillows in the drawer but these are also thin.
Not to mention the bed is really short, as in, my feet were dangling out of it. I'm a bit taller at 187. But my partner is around 175 and they had problems as well. Not standard 200cm bed.
But that's not the end of sleeping troubles, the soundproofing is horrible so you can hear the receptionists talking or anything else going in the rooms around you. The noise from outside is blocked out decently, but you have a full immersive experience of what everyone else is doing.
We also booked a room with a view to the river, however since it was on the first floor, there wasn't much to see, and the evacuation staircase blocked most of the river, also a strange decision to put plants that block your view where the stairs don't?
It is also trivially easy to go to other people's balconies as the only thing separating you are the few potted plants.
Too expensive for the experience, and don't bother paying extra for the view.
The breakfast was fine, croissants are great.

Excellent room! Spacious & clean. Very poor breakfast. There was very little choice (maybe because it was only middle season, but nevertheless it remains a 3 star hotel) and there was little or no hygiene. The table cloths were not changed: we ate at the same table and the same coffee stains (there were several!!!) were there for 3 mornings!!!! Furthemore, we found their letters (mail) in the bread basket! The staff is not really friendly and not everyone speaks English, French or German. You need to be lucky to go to the reception at a good time in order to find someone who can speak English!.

Great lake, great place, not so great hotel. The Rivus hotel always has rooms in hot seasons while all better hotels are taken.
Okay, what was good about it? I liked one of the girls at reception who was much more helpful than other staff. She spoke a better English though still not fluent. Yes, the hotel does have a pool. Bicycles are offered at 10 euro a day or 5 euro half a day. Probably, that's it.
The most disturbing factor is the noise that you have 24/7 because the location is an intercity highway. It never gets quiet. Other strange noises are there two. For instance, a weird hissing sound, a pretty loud one — from an upper floor in the middle of the night that lasted for hours. Believe it or not, the hissing was just a part of the entire sonic environment.
Air-conditioning didn't work in our room.
The city is accessible only with a bike or a car. Yes, you can walk on foot but you will definitely not enjoy it. Even with a bicycle, getting to the city is both physical effort and sweat. 10-15 by bicycle to the beach but you may join local kids jumping into the local river (clean and nice) from a pier few hundred meters from the hotel, on the way to the old city.
The Internet is offered at 2 euro an hour.
I can't imagine staying there again even if travelling by car and staying out most of the day. Only if my room were on the other side of the building where noise from the highway is less.
