The space
My house is located at the top of a sunny ridge a few miles west of the charming town of Fairfax. You step outside the door and hiking/biking trials beckon. Or, you can be in San Francisco or the Wine country within 45 minutes! And I am just 2 minutes away from Spirit Rock, world renowned Buddhist Meditation retreat.
The feeling at my house is akin to being at a spa - very relaxed, very quiet and serene. I do live on site in the main house detached from the 2 listed guesthouses. However, I anticipate that my guests will feel a sense of privacy and enjoy the serenity that abounds. I do have a charming and ultra friendly (but not annoying) male dog, Sunny, that will be very pleased to make your acquaintance. Also, this is not suitable as a "Party" house. I ask my guests to observe quiet hours from 10PM to 7 AM so as not to disturb neighbors or me. No smoking. 1 well behaved dog allowed ($50 pet fee).
Fully equipped kitchen, gas stove & oven, refrigerator with freezer, coffee machine with coffee, microwave, outdoor propane BBQ and dining table for 3. Flat screen TV provided with access to Netflix.
The Bedroom has a queen bed with down comforter and pillows. Additional roll away twin bed available for 1 additional guest ($25/night/guest).
There is a fantastic organic grocery, The Good Earth, a few miles away in Fairfax that has beautiful prepared foods of all kinds if you are inclined to bring food in.

Woodacre is a great location and this property is in a perfect spot ... high on a hill overlooking the valley. Fully equipped. Great shower. Super back deck. Very comfy bed and pillows (nice surprise). I was visiting friends in Fairfax so this was minutes away. Hiking nearby is very nice, the local deli has sandwiches and breakfast menus that were a surprise and it was quiet. Sunny the dog visited a few days and got treats I always carry on the road. What a jewel he is. The only thing I noticed was that there were no smoke or CO alarms. An easy fix. The landscaping on the property is A+. Gorgeous roses, lilaces, etc ... Perfect for am coffee. Enjoyed my stay.
