Incredible resort!!! I’ve now stayed here twice - once solo and once with my family. Both experiences were extraordinary! Fantastic service, beautiful property, amazing game drives (ask for Patrick!)

Great location, clean rooms but photos looked a bit more spectacular and this is most definitely not a 5 star hotel. The food was disappointing. Coffee was sour, which led me to notice the pot was frequently dirty with old coffee stains at the rim. Bread station was not fresh, pretty stale. I wish the hotel would enforce etiquette - Chinese guests were inconsiderate and frequently hogged all the food stations. Water in this hotel is NOT potable. They give you 2 tiny bottles per day and force you to buy exceptionally overpriced water at each meal. Take large bottled water with you to the camp, though it is apparently not permissible to bring outside water to the restaurant. Staff is overall very polite and helpful. Beware of Masai people who haggle you for overpriced items, even at the hotel. If you visit their village which is nearby, they charge you $25 USD per person. Politely we declined to buy their trinkets and said we didn’t have cash. After giving us a 1 hour showing of their village and how they are against any modern technology, they told us they take Visa or MasterCard at their village market. Bahaha. If you take a Balloon Safari which you can book at the hotel - negotiate the price. They seem to charge Americans more for everything which is pretty irritating. We found out that people in our Balloon Safari paid less than we did. Not cool.
