The Cottage in Pipe Creek, Texas, a newly built tiny house, has a cozy, modern, farmhouse vibe. It is a great spot for a quiet and romantic getaway for couples or for good friends out for an adventure in the Texas Hill Country. Be sure to check out our other Tiny House listings on property if you would like to share the experience with another couple while still having your own private space to retreat to.
The Cottage was built by Decathlon Tiny Homes, an award winning tiny house builder in Dallas, TX and the quality of home is on par with some of the finest tiny home builds that you'll find. The bedroom is a comfy retreat and boasts a hybrid memory foam queen size mattress with luxurious bedding, lots of fluffy pillows, and a 40" wall mounted TV making it a perfect spot to Hulu and hang or Netflix and chill. The bathroom is surprisingly roomy for a tiny house and has a shower, sink vanity, and water flushing toilet (not composting like most off grid tiny homes). The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, counter top stove, a refrigerator (not a mini-fridge), and a fold-away butcher block countertop with barstools for a quaint window-seat dining experience.
OUTDOOR LIVING SPACE:
You'll absolutely love the large multi-level deck and the peaceful ambience it offers with relaxing rocking chairs and a comfy pergola swing just the right size for two. Sip your morning coffee, curl up in the swing with a good book, and enjoy the lovely view through the tree-line and across the valley.
Be sure to keep an eye out for some Hill Country wildlife that is likely to pass by right in front of the Cottage!
ADVENTURE:
For guests that are feeling adventurous, enjoy a scenic and challenging hike on the private hiking trails (more info on hiking trails below). There are also some great parks to hike within a very manageable and scenic drive away. Rent a kayak or tube in nearby Bandera and float down or fish the secluded and beautiful Medina River.
BREAKFAST:
Our tiny house is a non traditional B&B where you will enjoy your coffee and breakfast in private without trying to make a specific serving time or mingling with other people when you are still wiping the sleep from your eyes. We will provide you with all of the basic ingredients necessary for you to prepare your own breakfast for two mornings (usually bacon, farm fresh eggs from our coop, hash browns, granola bars, oatmeal, and pancake mix).
Be sure and check out our other tiny houses on property to plan a couple’s getaway with friends.
For the enjoyment and safety of all guests, Tiny House B&B at Timbercreek Ranch is a pet and child-free space.
HIKING TRAILS: (Trail map in the photo section)
There are 3 rentals on our property and they each have their own pathways leading to the shared hiking trail. The shared hiking trail, the Not-So-Tiny Trail (.37 miles), is a fun and challenging hike that consists of varying degrees of difficulty has some beautiful scenic overlooks and several interesting natural landmarks. The upper part of the trail is on a less steep terrain that takes you along the ridge of the valley on a shady path through the trees. This section of the trail is fairly easy with just a few tough spots that most of our guests should be able to manage. However, the hike becomes much more challenging at the "Drop-Off" to the East and at "Rest Rock" to the West. The "Drop Off" begins with a steep descent into the valley and traverses along the hillside and valley floor eventually leading to a steep climb back up the ridge to "Rest Rock". This section of the trail is more of an intermediate to advanced level hike and should only be attempted by guests that are up for a challenge. This trail is designed to be hiked in an East to West direction. So, you should begin at the "Drop Off" descending into the valley and hike West towards "Rest Rock" which will be the steep climb back to the upper level. Guests that are not physically capable of hiking the steeper section of the trail or just prefer a more leisurely hike are encouraged to hike West along the upper section to "Rest Rock" and back.
The "Not-So-tiny Trail is marked with yellow, green, and white rope tied to trees and branches to help guide you and there are 3 knotted ropes located at some of the steeper areas to assist you. The terrain on this trail is very primitive. Please be mindful of your physical limitations and of the hazards of our natural surroundings. Hiking shoes, water, and a bug spray with tick repellent are highly recommended.
The trails are very clearly marked with signs and ropes. Hike on the designated trails only. Do not cross the gravel driveway adjacent to the upper level of the trail (except for Cottage guests hiking on their private Cottage trail) and do not trespass onto neighboring property. Each tiny house has its own private trail and are exclusively for guests staying in that house. Please respect the privacy of other guests and do not enter these restricted areas. Hiking onto neighboring property or into restricted areas will lead to immediate cancellation of the stay
and removal from the property without refund.
