Really lovely apartment and great communication from the host. The location is a little way away from the attractions of the Plaka area in Athens - about a 15 - 20 min walk and around 5-10 from transport.

We were excited to try this new property, but the excitement quickly faded.
We booked an A2 type apartment. It consists of 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms...
Arriving at the apartment we quickly realised it was not cleaned properly (but we fixed that ourselves). Next issue, there was not a single roll of toiletpaper in any of the 3 bathrooms. Luckily there was a nearby petrolstation that would sell us a roll at 10PM.
Next challenge! (and this became the one we could not solve). None of the 3 AC units worked. Send a whatsapp message to our contact Liana. She had no solution, but was going to send someone to fix it the next day. We where asked to wait in the apartment until 12.00 the next day. We had tickets for Acropolis, so that was not an option so we left the key in the keylocker. Luckily we refused to stay , because no one arrived to fix it before 22.00. He managed to wake our kids up, but no luck with the AC.
After this I never heard anything from Liana or anyone from My Greek Vacations for the rest of our stay. We sent multiple messages, but no replies. It was crazy hot, and due to the location 20m from a very busy highway we could not keep the windows open. So not much sleep for any of us.
Add in the poor build quality, dirty kitchen with no room actually make food (we opted for takeaway, rather than cleaning up the previous guests mess) and location directly next to one of the main highways I strongly advice you to look elsewhere for a place to stay in Athens!

I want to share our reviews below;
Bad experience :
- Flat cleaning was not up to the mark. When you are with infants kids you expect proper cleaning ( as an example please, please refer to the photo)
- The location of the property is not walkable to Acropolis/shopping centre when you are with kids, each time you need to book an Uber
- Hot water, please pay attention - the hot water is available only for a limited time and you need to turn a switch on and wait for 45 minutes to get hot water which will run for max 10 minutes, we wasted almost 1-1.30 hr every morning for this when we contacted the response was this is how the hot water system works in Greece
- the central heating doesn't work; you have to keep the ACs on, on heating mode.
- Cleaning and additional linen, towels is available at extra cost (provided to us as complimentary)
Good Experience
- Ultra Modern apartment
- Prompt customer service response
-we requested a late checkout, which was provided at no extra cost, thank you

Staying at “The Edge” has been quite appalling. All looks but no substance. The building looks newly built and apartment is spacious. That’s where the good part of this ends. The apartment is far away from any public transportation unless you are willing to walk for a good 20 minutes through a rundown area or along the busy highway linking Piraeus to central Athens while being dotted by all kinds of strip clubs and other adult entertainment venues. Getting to the Acropolis will on average take about 35 minutes and Syntagama Square around 45 minutes. This is not convenient to most travelers. Had to rely on calling cabs using Uber and FreeNow which both would have an average wait time of 10-15 minutes before any driver showing up due to the cab drivers deciding to cancel for much more lucrative drives after accepting the booking already.
The furniture in the apartment, while pretty looking, is low end. The cleaning of the apartment left more to be desired with crumbs on the kitchen counter, old ticket stubs and vape filters left behind from previous tenant. Not to mention the amount of dust and trash under the bed.The hot water supply would last enough for a 10 minutes shower, anything beyond the 10 minutes and you are looking at an ice-cold continuation of your shower and that's just 1 person.
The worst of all is having to deal with someone like Liana who has no understanding of basic communication or customer service skills.
