About this house rental
Stay in our 5000+ sq. ft. 5 bed/5 bath Lodge House on Roy Lake (Gull Lake chain) & enjoy yourself any time of year. Just 1 mile from downtown Nisswa, the property lets you take advantage of many area activities in nice weather (fish, ski, bike, hike, shop, etc.) or bad (private theater, billiards, ping pong, foosball, gym, or just relax in one of many other rooms). It's great for a large group of friends, family reunion, or team retreat; and it's professionally cleaned between every reservation.
Our property is one-of-a-kind in the Brainerd Lakes Area.
In addition to all of the modern comforts of 21st century living inside the house (theater, game room, gym, cable TV, washer/dryer, zonal heating/cooling, etc.) you're close to all the outdoor activities in the area connected to the water and woods.
But our Lodge House can be rented in conjunction with our property directly across the street -- for larger groups and gatherings. That property includes three more buildings -- the Clubhouse, Little Cabin and Bunk House -- that have 4 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms, two kitchens, two laundry facilities, an exercise/stretching room, outdoor barrel sauna, outdoor hot tub and deck sitting on 4 1/2 acres of wooded property with a 1/4 mile walking trail.
We also have one of the only private tennis courts in the area, just built in the Spring of 2018.
We'll be available during your entire stay to help with any issues you might have.
Our place is in the Roy Lake Heights neighborhood on Roy Lake. There are some incredible year-round homes, as well as seasonal cabins...and is one of the closest streets to downtown Nisswa (less than a mile) that's on the Gull Lake chain. Downtown Nisswa has unique shops and fun places to eat (like Raffertys, A&W, Ye Olde Pickel Factory, Big Axe micro-brewery, Adirondack coffee and others). Winter hours for most places are a little scaled back, but summer hours are wide open. Grocery shopping is best at Schafer's (about 5-7 min drive) or you can go to Super Valu in Pequot Lakes (about 7-8 minute drive). Other great places to eat or visit in the area that are 5-15 minute drive like Grandview Lodge, the Pines Golf Course, Zorbaz, Bar Harbor Supper Club, Lost Lake Lodge, Sherwood Forest and a bunch of others. Craguns, Maddens and other resorts on Gull Lake with pools, tennis, golf, and other amenities are about a 20 minute drive (by car) and about 30 minutes (by boat) on the west/south shores of Gull Lake. They offer guided fishing tours, as well as boat, jet ski, kayak and other watercraft rentals.
There are three other golf courses in the area; Deacon's Lodge, White Birch, Antlers and the Traditional golf course. There's also an indoor water park with slides etc., for rainy days located in Baxter.
In the winter there are dog sled/hay rides and the snow tubing hill is one mile from the house. The new Breezy Point ice area is located a half mile from the house and is open for public skating at designated times throughout the year. There are also plenty of marked snowmobiling trails that all lead out of Breezy Point, the non-paved trails can be used for ATV's in the summer.
NOTE: Bachelor and bachelorette parties are not allowed.
Please read and follow the rules listed in the House Manual.
