Other things to note
You may wish to obtain groceries in Asheville, Brevard, Waynesville or Canton prior to accessing property, as we are approximately 20-25 minutes from Waynesville and Canton, and 22 miles or 40 to 45 minutes from downtown Asheville (approximately 30 minutes to West Asheville). Access to property is at Heritage Cove Rd off US 276 either via Brevard, Canton, or Waynesville, or along the gorgeous Blue Ridge Parkway (seasonal; we are located only 4 miles north of Blue Ridge Parkway on 276). We have plenty of local wildlife, including black bear, turkey, deer, groundhogs, snakes and field mice; avoid contact with all animals in environs, and do not leave open food or unsecured trash outside or out on counters in home, as this will encourage bad habits in our larger and smaller animals alike. Please help avoid wildlife-pet interaction by keeping pet(s) on leash or under voice command. Carry in, carry out, nothing left behind, including butts and pet waste. If you forgot hiking poles, daypack or backpack, ask us for loaner to use. If you have questions about local happenings, restaurants, music venues, breweries, hiking or rafting options, or other adventures that you can't clarify pre-travel online or by phone, just ask us and we'll try to find out the details for you.
