Welcome to The Lodge at Blackrock, a large modern lodge style home designed by the esteemed global interior designer Barrie Livingstone. Nestled directly across the street from Joshua Tree National Park and just down the road from the Blackrock Entrance to the National Park, this home offers unparalleled access to one of California's most iconic landscapes. The Lodge boasts incredible views of mountains and fields of Joshua Trees, creating a serene and breathtaking backdrop for your stay.
The Space:
-THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE-
This property is meant to be a peaceful space for guests to connect with nature. Please do not book if you are planning to party. Quiet hours begin at 9PM – 8AM. The house is in a quiet, noise-intolerant neighborhood. Excess noise can result in fines and the termination of your reservation without refund.
Per Yucca Valley noise ordinance, sound must be kept below 55 dB during the day (about the level of normal conversation), and below 45 dB (about the level of a quiet office or whispered conversation) between 9pm and 8am. We do not allow playing music on speakers at the house at any time, as it violates these thresholds.
-Living Area-
Step into the expansive main living room, where a giant 2-story stone wood-burning fireplace takes center stage, providing a cozy and inviting atmosphere. This space is open to the formal dining room, making it perfect for entertaining and gathering with family and friends. Giant windows flood the living areas with natural light, offering stunning views of the surrounding scenery.
The second living room features a large smart TV and a pellet stove fireplace, and is open to a dining nook and kitchen, creating a warm and intimate space for relaxation.
-Kitchen & Dining-
The fully stocked kitchen is a chef's dream, equipped with all the essentials and cookware needed to prepare delicious meals. The adjacent dining nook and formal dining room offer plenty of space for enjoying your meals. The coffee station includes a drip coffee maker, French press, Joshua Tree Coffee Company whole bean coffee, and an assortment of sugars and creamer.
-Bedrooms & Bathrooms-
The Lodge at Blackrock offers spacious and comfortable bedrooms, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The primary bedroom has a king bed, and an ensuite bathroom, with a shower and a luxury soaking bathtub. The three other bedrooms upstairs each have a queen bed and share the second bathroom just down the hall. The fifth bedroom is downstairs and has a twin bed and a twin trundle bed that pulls out. The half bathroom is downstairs as well.
-Outdoor Amenities-
The outdoor space at The Lodge is designed for ultimate relaxation and enjoyment. The huge "swim spa" can fit groups of ten for hot tub dips or can also be used as an endless swimming pool to swim laps! After a day of hiking in the park, cool off in the 10-foot cowboy tub soaking pool. Gather around the propane fire pit or relax in the hammocks for an evening under the stars or fire up the BBQ for a delicious outdoor meal. Yoga mats are provided for those looking to practice their poses in the serene natural surroundings.

The Lodge at Blackrock is perfectly situated for exploring Joshua Tree National Park, with the Blackrock Entrance just down the street. Enjoy hiking, rock climbing, and exploring the unique landscapes of the park. Other Things to Note:
-Dogs-
We welcome your dogs! Please note that there is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation if you are bringing dog(s) and how many, and we will adjust the price accordingly. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Cats and other pets are not allowed.
-Cowboy Tub & Hot Tub Service-
The cowboy tub pool and hot tub are serviced on TBA, approximately between 11am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the tubs.
-Cowboy Tub Availability-
The cowboy tub is drained and unavailable for guest use during winter months (November - March) to prevent the filter from freezing and breaking.
-Fireplaces-
If you'd like to use the indoor wood-burning fireplace, please note we do not provide firewood. If you'd like to enjoy the fireplace, we recommend picking up bundles of firewood at a local grocery store or gas station in town. We do provide wood pellets for the wood burning stove in the second living room.
-Guided Yoga, Sound Baths, Meditation, Massages & Personal Chefs-
Please reach out to us if you'd like recommendations for yoga instructors, guided sound baths, guided meditation, massages or personal chefs. Often times vendors are available come directly to the house.
