A wonderfull small house with everything we needed and a beautiful garden in quiet surrounding. Perfect to relax and to come down. Many intersting places nearby. Highly recommended.

Garlands Retreat is a delightful property with a lovely garden. We had a great week staying there and the property is extremely well-equipped. The treats were lovely too! The property is spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen has absolutely everything you could need. We would thoroughly recommend Garlands Retreat.

We arrived with three Dachshunds. Apart from being very impressed with the accommodation, we checked the security of the garden which I would have to say was faultless, even our smallest at 5kg could not find her way out to escape, which was very reassuring. We would definitely stay there again if Lynne would have us. Thanks very much.

Property is large and well decorated. Garden is fenced and has patio, table and chairs. Shower was lovely and hot and in a modern bathroom.
Kitchen is large and has most items but couldn't find oven gloves and microwave is ancient.
Wine and jam was nice offering but no tea, coffee or milk available which was not great as nearest shop is 4 miles away!
Bedrooms are well presented although main bed was small and makes alot of noise as springs in base and matress. Couldn't find hairdryer.
Lovely quiet area if you want off the beaten track. Definitely need a car for any amenities.
**If you have any mobility issues please be aware short but steep path that slopes two ways to front door but once in property everything is accessible.**
Overall had nice stay in a pleasant place for a few days at a reasonable price.
Recommend walking along the lovely canal into Canterbury and seeing the catherdal.

Excellent location, very quiet and idyllic but also close to lots of local amenities.
Lynne was really responsive and helped us with some pointers throughout our stay.

We stayed for 4 nights in November. Was a lovely clean property with lots of room. The bed was very comfortable to sleep in, there was a large fridge / freezer and all the kitchen equipment you could need. The location was very quiet with beautiful countryside views. There was no phone signal but the wifi was good so we just enabled wifi calling on our phones- only if needed as was nice to be off the grid for a change! Lots of books, dvds and games were available to use. Would stay again.

The property is a home from home and a lot larger than we expected. Plenty of space, lots of extras in the cupboards, a large selection of dvds and a welcome gift. We loved having this as our base to go off exploring, the location is perfect for visiting Dover, Ramsgate, Margate and Deal. A highly recommended value for money option.

We enjoyed our stay with our dog the property was like home from home well equipped and clean lovely garden and wonderful welcome gifts thank you. Quiet location but walking the dog a bit tricky due to narrow lanes.

Really spacious rural property with a beautiful garden, we drove to several seaside destinations all within a 40 minute drive and there are a couple of really nice local pubs but do need to drive. Fantastic place especially if your a dog owner

Very comfortable, well equipped spacious bungalow. Secure garden for our dog. Location is remote but only 3 miles for supermarkets. Perfect for visiting our family and friends locally together with interesting days out to castles and towns nearby. Would definitely book again.

We had a wonderful three night stay at Garland's Retreat over the Easter weekend. The bungalow is very clean and had everything we needed (and more). It was a great base for us to explore Dover and Deal castles and we also managed a trip to Sandwich. Yes, the WiFi is patchy, sometimes non-existent, but it certainly didn't impact our break. I'm so glad we booked - it's a beautiful place to stay.

Absolutely perfect! House was lovely and spacious for my family. We had a beautiful time walking the countryside. Only downside was trying to keep our dog clean so it didn't leave a mess!

Everything that's been said before about this bungalow, it's so relaxing and peaceful. Lynne has gone above our expectations for you don't need to bring anything but yourself and maybe your dog, who will love the secure garden. Plenty to do and see in the area. Wonderful!!

Best Get Away By Far
Our stay was absolutely amazing. Lynne is veTy welcoming and has not a missed a single thing. From the homely welcoming warm vibe to the games to the homemade jam. It was the best little get away I could have booked - living in London! My dog also thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Extremely good for mental health.

We really enjoyed our stay at Garlands Retreat. It is one of the cleanest holiday homes I have ever stayed in. It is lovely and spacious and very well equipped. It is situated in a very peaceful location. The only down side of this is lack of phone coverage and slow wifi during the evening. Our dog loved running around in the secure garden and it was great to have a supply of towels for wiping her paws when coming back in.
4.8
We will probably arrange to book again because we were very happy with the cottage. Unfortunately we had to leave early for medical reasons but could not fault the accommodation.

Beautiful setting . . .
Ideal property for us. All on the level ( except slightly sloped path to front door ) . Very peaceful and comfortable with everything you could need and more.

Couldn't fault this property, remote location was an absolute dream for us (and not too remote to have fish and chip take away for dinner from either Deal or Dover) - and the only place I could get mobile signal was out in the top corner of the glorious garden. What a win!
