The house is just 45 minutes from Boston and near the Newburyport Commuter Rail station. We recommend cars or bikes for local transit during your stay. Historic downtown Newburyport is beautiful year-round. The reserve on Plum Island is a beautiful place to get outdoors year-round. This property is ideal for enjoying the season with its proximity to local attractions and comfortable space to gather.
Guests have access to the entire property except for a few locked storage closets. The closet in bedroom 1 is a locked owner closet. Guests staying in this room use suitcase stands, wall hooks, and a nearby hall closet. People who take care of outdoor spaces (e.g., gardeners and snow removal workers) may be working on-site during your stay.
Even though the house is in a suburban area, it's close to nature and there is plentiful wildlife in the area. Beyond our neighbors across the street and behind us is open land that leads to marshes and forests. Guests should expect to see insects, spiders, and other wildlife during their visit. We do not spray or put poison inside or out to eliminate wildlife except to control dangerous or destructive animals.
The home has smart technology for your safety, including a security camera at the front entrance and a Minut device to monitor noise. Neither records sound. Tampering with these is against house rules.
The home is equipped with many energy-efficient and green features. Heating and air conditioning run efficiently thanks to a new heat pump system and insulation upgrades. Rooftop solar panels provide a significant portion of the energy the house needs.
Your booking includes damage protection insurance, covering accidental damage such as spills or broken items. Please let us know immediately about any accidental damage during your stay.
As a family-run vacation rental property, we cannot offer refunds outside our cancellation policy. We recommend travel insurance for unexpected cancellations. You can purchase this when booking.
