About this house rental

Welcome to Rockwell Haus, a newly-renovated 70s-inspired cabin nestled just 14 minutes away from Killington Mountain and the iconic K1 Lodge. Our 2,800 sq ft home is perfect for any group, comfortably sleeping 11, and offers two separate living rooms with cozy and easy-to-use gas and pellet stoves, a game room, bar, and 8-ft dining table. The 3-acre private property offers back deck overlooking Pico Mountain slopes, which are only 11 minutes away!

Pets welcome with a $100 pet fee!

Guests have full access to our 3 acre property and home. There are two owner's closets and three kitchen drawers that will be locked and inaccessible.

Rockwell Haus is equipped with everything you'll need for an awesome Vermont getaway!

HOME FEATURES:
3 Smart TVs with Roku (streaming Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, Disney+, HBO Max)

Sound System via Sonos and Alexa (Alexa and Spotify enabled) and Marshall III Acton Bluetooth speaker

Upstairs Family Room:
Step into this quintessential 1970s vibe. Featuring vaulted ceilings and iconic wood paneling from the era, you can unwind on the comfortable Article chaise couch. Bask in the ambient warmth emanating from the hassle-free propane stove. This room is a retreat for relaxation or post-ski recovery— grab a game from the fully stocked curio cabinet or immerse yourself in the plush depths of the lounge chair while enjoying a movie on the 70" Samsung TV, complete with Roku for all your entertainment needs.

Downstairs Family Room/Game Room:
The ultimate après ski spot with a custom neon sign over the custom wet bar (equipped with a mini fridge and drink ware). There are two seating areas, a foosball table, 65in Samsung TV and our favourite throwback arcade game - Buckhunter.

Kitchen:
Fully equipped kitchen with gas range, Nespresso Machine, drip coffee maker (stocked with pods and local VT coffee beans), toaster, Instapot and microwave. 8 foot dining room table that can be extended to 10 that sits 8+ people. The pantry is fully stocked with the basics—olive oil, seasonings, snacks and tea. Crate & Barrel dishware, wine glasses and other drink ware is available. Our home is fully equiped for entertaining - you’ll find serving ware, cheese boards, pots and pans all of the necessities for a relaxing night at home.

Bedrooms (unique features call for unique names!):

The Retro Room:
An ode to the era of shag carpeting, the upstairs primary bedroom boasts the sole king bed in the house. Settle in and make yourself at home by unpacking into the closet or dresser and get ready for an evening out in one of two floor length mirrors at Rockwell. A sliding door provides access to the back deck - an ideal spot for your morning coffee with the sun ascending over Pico Mountain. Cozy up beneath the Crate & Barrel and Brooklinen bedding and prepare for a restful night's sleep or a Roku TV movie night in bed!

Norman's Room:
Named in fond homage to our fuzzy deer friend, the second bedroom upstairs at Rockwell Haus offers a cozy retreat. Outfitted with a convenient closet for your clothing needs, the comfortable Nectar mattress and bedding ensure a delightful stay. Don't forget to charge your phone with one of our custom bedside charging stations, ensuring you have ample battery to navigate the slopes or trails with ease.

The Snowshoe Room:
Who doesn't like exploring the snowy hills of VT by foot?! This room has a queen Nectar bed and features another one of our custom charging stations for all your mobile device needs. Our dedicated workspace can be found nestled in the corner of this room with a custom walnut turned-leg marble desk, lovingly constructed by us by hand from local VT materials.

The Rockwell Room:
Discover the bunk bed room featuring one queen Nectar bed and a twin Nectar bed overhead, adorned with Brooklinen bedding and a convenient closet. Affectionately named after the artist Norman Rockwell, and the street name chosen during the founding of our neighborhood, this space is an ideal retreat for those who appreciate the nostalgic summer camp ambiance - suitable for both kids and adults alike.

The Hideaway:
Ascend to the loft room with queen bed overlooking the main living and dining area. Retreat to this snug space with a good book or relish the tranquil ambiance as snow peacfully descends outside the window overlooking the woods.

Back Deck:
Are you ready to stargaze or enjoy the breathtaking fall foliage? Step onto our full length back deck and relax in our comfortable Adirondack chairs. Look out through the trees, spot the peak of Pico Mountain and enjoy the calming peace and quiet of a Vermont evening.

The front door and driveway are monitored by video camera for security purposes. There are no cameras inside or facing the home.

Bringing your pup along? They are totally welcome with an additional $100 pet fee. Just let us know if you'll be bringing your pet along when you make your reservation.

Please note that Rockwell Haus is a non-smoking residence (both inside and out). Any violation of this rule will result in a $500 fine.

Given our steep driveway, which allows the house to sit back off the road, we recommend all of our guests have all-wheel drive to access the house during winter months. All-wheel drive is not necessary in the summer and fall.
