I have been going to the Mont Cervin for now 35 years. Have seen its ups and downs and this was the lowest point. Despite numerous attempts to engage with the hotel to help them identify the cracks, there was no attempt at solving them. Overall, a beautiful hotel with a new management that is failing at keeping the service quality at the expected level. Despite this, Luca in the restaurant / breakfast is an absolute rising Star - he saved the experience and should be used as a role model
Long list. From arrival where hotel failed to send someone to pick at the station despite us calling 30 mins before arrival. Reception staff overwhelmed. Cleaning team kept leaving dirty cloth in the bath tub (3 times). Wifi was unusable in our room. Staff at the breakfast room dropping cutlery and screaming the F word with kids around. Inability to solve for simple asks such as having breakfast in a partner hotel. Ski Room staff overwhelmed with tasks and unable to actually support clients. List goes on, but the absolute worst is the front desk not being interested in listening to the issues going on and willing to improve. Overall, this might have sadly been the last time I will stay at the Mont Cervin as the price they charge is no longer justified.

All the staff from concierge to reception to restaurant to housekeeping are very polite, helpful and positive. Their dedicated attitude is focused on the perfect guest experience. The hotel has a wonderful spa, which is just what you need after a long day of skiing or snowboarding. Furthermore the ski room facilities are second to none with ventilated lockers for each room, and helpfully a ski shop is attached within the same building, so equipment rental can be charged to your room with one click. no need to leave the hotel to rent equipment or buy the latest gear.
Located right in the village, so quite far from the ski lifts if walking in ski gear BUT the facilities, service & positive vibes outweigh this, and worth the daily taxi ride at 12 CHF each way to the ski lifts. However, being in the village means that you are right smack in the middle to shop in all the big brand watch & clothing stores, and have all the restaurants right on your door step. The lively part of town therefore is at your fingertips. The restaurants within the hotel are wonderful though, so you don’t necessarily have to venture out to dine.
The rooms are perfectly clean, homely, well equipped and the suites are very spacious. Modern touch button showers and baths with rainfall showers, soft fluffy towels and also wonderfully heated when you come back after a day out in the snow. Comfy, homely with a Swiss touch of magic and the view of the Matterhorn or surrounding mountains.
I keep returning every year, and truly highly recommend this wonderful hotel with all its fabulously helpful staff, which I cannot praise enough. I have stayed in all of Zermatt 5 star hotels, but the Mont Cervin Palace is the winner for me every time.
Thank you to all the staff for making each stay more than memorable for all the right reasons.

Nice room and mostly helpful staff.
A few staff experiences where people clearly didn't listen or understand (tried both English and French).

This is a classic, refined, old-school hotel with comfortable facilities and restaurants. The staff were very friendly to me. The breakfast was great! A lot of selection, many servers, options, good coffee.. the bar had a big selection of cocktails. The pool is lovely. I had a room in the attic that had a lot of character. I especially enjoyed the view and the whirlpool bathtub!

The spa is great, the staff is very kind and helpful
I d prefer to have classical music during breakfast rather than the music which was played too loud. We would have liked after ski with some cookies at the bar. Finally, the coffee at breakfast came a bit late. But the rest is perfect.

Breakfast was great and a variety of items, the views were great (although we were in the Petit Cervin we were upgraded to a room with a view of the Matterhorn) and the location of the hotel was ideal. The facilities were brilliant but I have to say that the reason we enjoyed our stay so much was because of the staff. Bruno and his colleagues (especially in the boot room) were so helpful, so kind and so attentive. We felt truly looked after and they made our stay that bit more special.
My only feedback was that upon booking we weren't aware that the Petit Cervin was different than the main hotel, albeit with joint facilities

decent location, food and reputation.
unfriendly staff, guests are a cash cow, not a visitor.

view from room was great and spacious suite. pool facilities were good.
reception and conceirge staff were lacking as they were new to hotel and area. The kids
club not great as issues with being open or not and quite stressful experience. we chose the hotel for this reason and were disappointed.
