I cannot speak highly enough about Grand Hotel Hermitage...From the stunningly beautiful views to all the wonderful staff who made us feel incredibly welcome. Tony was especially funny and we loved his cocktails by the pool! Our room was well air conditioned and kept very clean. The location was perfect for us as it didn't feel at all touristy. We had everything we needed on site and in the lovely little local town but equally we had easy access (thanks to the complimentary hotel shuttle) to visit the much busier Sorrento at our own leisure.
I owe an extra special thanks to the staff for how they took care of everything...I was quite sick one night and therefore unable to make a boat trip that I had previously booked but the staff took all the details and rearranged everything for me no trouble at all. They provided my friend with a great selection of gluten free breakfasts each morning and when we had to check out very early on our final day we were given a very generous take away breakfast.
Thank you Grand Hotel Hermitage!
Nothing!

Lovely clean friendly hotel. Great food and few mins walk to a lovely little village with great restaurants.
The hotel provides a shuttle service up and down to Sorrento which is great but would be better if the return service was a little later than 8.30pm

I love the location of the place.
Paying extra for cab to go up was not fun, but the area is beautiful!

Old school family run hotel, away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento but walking distance to the lively village of Lubranese. The hotel staff are excellent, and views are 2nd to none. It’s the kind of place where you get to know the other guests and you likely will meet them when you come back next year!
Breakfast buffet could have been better and more varied day to day. Beds were a little firm.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Amazing views. Pool area pleasant always plenty of sun beds and towels. The hotel is away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento which we liked. Reliable shuttle bus. Rooms always cleaned brilliantly every day.
The pool area could be smartened up a little for example there were a lot of weeds in some areas.
An early morning shuttle would be good which would allow people to catch ferries to the islands.

Peaceful haven set in own grounds . Loved the room being on the floor of reception, restaurant and easy access to the pool.
All facilities great, even an ironing corner.
No negatives really perhaps an hairdryer at the dressing table instead of bathroom.

Sea and mountain View from the room balcony is fantastic. All the staff is so kind, polite, helpful, making you feel at home. Receptionist are fantastic, ready to find the best solutions to any kinds of requests. Cleaning staff is doing their job great. We were happy to stay there.
We would just prefer more vegetables for breakfast.

I'll try and simply list the (many) positives:
The staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful
The regular shuttle service to and from town is a life saver
The breakfast was excellent
The view from our room was incredible
It's not ultra modern but that is not bad; The hotel has a wonderful atmosphere and was a pleasure to be in
The sole issue we had was the bed. It was unbelievably hard. I can't overstate that; it felt like sleeping on the floor.
If you are traveling light, there is not much in the way of toiletries provided. Shampoo and a bar of soap only.

The view from the balcony is gorgeous. It has no equal to the hotels in the city. The shuttle bus is free and available even for a single room, the last one is at 20.30. The staff is very kind and attentive(Tony, saluti e grazie!)

Decent hotel with great service
Location: in theory it should be a great one. Problem is that it's a bit far away from Sorrento and other cities that have to be reached by car but knowing the routes and traffic it becomes an hassle.
Also, the free shuttle service is well appreciated, however its frequency is poor, especially at night hours.

Classic old school Itialian hotel with a fantastic view over Sorrento. Staff were amazing at the front desk; very helpful with transportation, reservations and everything.
Everything was great.

Hotel Hermitage is in an excellent location overlooking the bay of Sorrento with a beautiful view of Mt Vesuvio. Their staff go over and beyond for their guests. The food at their restaurant is excellent and well presented. The hotel itself and the rooms are extremely clean. There is parking on site for the guests if you have a car. Overall a good choice to see the Amalfi coast. Its also within walking distance of the small town of St Agata dei due golfi where you can find shops and restaurants.
The hotel and rooms need to be updated. The structure is extremely dated.

view
wifi, old run down furnishings that were all uncomfortable, food, old and worn linens, far too much laundry detergent left residue on linens and towels

The setting and views of the property are absolutely stunning. We had a sea view balcony room and couldn’t get over the view. The nearest town Sant’agata is lovely in the evenings and only a short walk away, and the hotel runs a free shuttle into Sorrento town multiple times a day. The staff were outstanding! Every person went above and beyond for you and were so lovely and helpful.

Beautiful hotel with amazing views and delicious food. It is wonderful experience to stay in the hotel where the staff smiles and greets you when they see you and always make sure that you are comfortable and well. Yes, YOU GET THERE AS A TOURIST AND LEAVE AS A FRIEND! We have also received valuable professional advice about the hiking trails, places to see, places to park the car, public transport, tours, pick up and drop off etc...

The view from the hotel room and the swimming pool area was was breathtaking. The hotel is well maintained and the floor of the room had beautiful tiles from the area. My room had a nice huge bath tub which we enjoyed very much after swimming in the pool. Staff of the hotel are nice, especially Renato who was so friendly and helpful and definitely made our stay a very special and a memorable one. We would definitely like to go back to the hotel.
