Everything was perfect

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt very much at home in Ann's spacious and very comfortable house. Ann baked us a really delicious apple pie and yes, we now have the recipe! Many thanks for that!
We will miss the gallery overlooking the sea and the sunset.
The area around Doolin is also really beautiful, with the Cliffs Of Moher, the Aran Islands, the Burren, and Lahinch Beach with great waves for swimming and surfing.
Absolutely recommendable!

big open floorplan with lots of light, great neighbours ( a bull, 3 cows and 6 calves) and a super central location to explore. Everything was exactly as described and Ann was a charm to work with.

Gorsehill house lived up to our expectations! The property was everything we expected given the pictures and descriptions. Terrific property with plenty of space to stretch and relax when chilly and drizzly, convenient for us to get around County Clare to the places we wanted to go, and what fun sitting in the back yard looking out toward the ocean listening to the on property stream gurgle in the background. Convenient corner grocery and gas about 2km away was tremendous for ease of topping off groceries without needing to drive a longer distance into nearby villages. We hiked from Doolin along the cliff edge path to the Cliffs of Moher visitor center, and back, about 6 hours roundtrip walking, amazing views! Other highlights were fun relaxed horse trail ride from Mountain View Horse Centre, took ferry to explore Inis Oirr (Aran Islands), and walked around The Burren. Definitely recommend this property for exploring County Clare, Doolin, The Burren, and Cliffs of Moher.

We had a truly delightful stay at Gorsehill in Doolin. We were greeted with a delicious homemade apple pie and essentials in the fridge. Cottage was perfect for an extended family, lots of different areas to hang out in and great access to the town. Host -Ann couldn’t have been more helpful. Would highly recommend.

Perfect host, perfect home. A great base from which to explore the area. Cliffs of Mohr, Limerick, Galway, Knock shrine, Ennis, The Burren, Aran Islands tour, etc are easy day trips. Good local pubs and restaurants nearby, and a warm cozy house and grounds in a setting just enough off of the tourist roadways to have quiet and privacy as the day winds down. Can’t ask for much else.

Ann is a wonderful host - providing more than we would have expected including a fresh warm apple pie. The house is charming and easily accessible to Doolin. There are lots of sweet cozy places to read inside on a rainy day and since it’s so close to town, you can pop in and back quickly. I would say the listing doesn’t do it justice. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

We regularly rent homes on the west coast and this is a wonderful location to visit the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands. Doolin is a delightful village about a 30 minute picturesque and easy walk on the “safer” route; half that on a busier road. The house was well-equipped and spacious, and charmingly decorated. The master bedroom and ensuite is particularly lovely.

Hospitality is Ann's forte for sure. After traveling from the USA we received a warm welcome, easy check-in, a homemade apple tart, and refreshments to get our stay off to a great start. The house was our base camp for 10 days while we explored the Wild Atlantic Way and our family history. This beautiful property will not disappoint anyone considering it.

The house is very comfortable in every possible way and the owner has kindly included many extra touches to make you feel welcome! The garden is beautiful with options to relax outdoors or in a lovely covered area if raining! The location is superb for exploring Co. Clare. You will enjoy a very relaxing holiday at Gorsehill.
The booking process was tricky as my search was picked up by VRBO USA and VRBO UK and there were price differences. It would be useful if people booking from Ireland could pay in Euros.

Beautiful and comfortable home, perfect base for exploring the area. House is on a quiet road, we took sunset walks overlooking the sea and farms. Gorgeous views of the countryside. Very close to Doolin, Doolin trail to the cliffs of moher, wonderful pubs in Doolin. Host was amazing. Everything we needed for cooking, even a fresh apple pie and groceries provided for us. I have stayed in many vacation homes and this was one of the best! Highly recommend!

We stayed for a week in Anne's beautiful country house. Everything was exactly as described, even the delicous apple cake! We walked the cliff path up to the Cliffs of Moher and played the Doolin Pitch&Put 3 times. Highly recommendable.

We loved the house which is light and very spacious. There were beautiful walks along the cliffs and we highly recommend a trip out to the Aran Islands. There are some good beaches quite close by car. We were made most welcome by Ann and thank her for her hospitality

I cannot say enough good things about our stay at Gorsehill.
Ann was an amazing host; as other reviews attest to, her baking and thoughtfulness in supplying some kitchen essentials all deserve an extra shout-out. She was incredibly prompt and responsive for questions and generous with her time to get us settled - and then returned to help us with the fire later in the stay!
The property was very clean and very comfortable. We felt immediately at home, and could not believe the beauty of the landscape and the views from all directions. We absolutely delighted in being able to watch some of our favourite UK-based tv shows in the appropriate time zone, and the kitchen was incredibly well-supplied for us to make dinners during rainy nights. (Ann recommended both a nearby filling station for quick essentials, and a grocery store a few minutes drive away for the rest of our shopping.)
We walked into Doolin several times (the hi-vis supplied made this very comfortable) and had good enough weather over our week and a half stay to walk parts of the Burren Way and take a ferry to Inis Mor. The stream and the plants on the property are all beautiful, and we really enjoyed birdwatching and walking the roads nearby.
This was our second visit to the area, as Co. Clare is a favourite spot in our travels. Staying here was like a dream, and we are already scheming to return.

I was lucky enough to have stayed at Ann's property before, and I can't say enough about her as a property owner, and about the house itself and its picturesque and idyllic location. This house is super clean, welcoming with its homey decor, has lots of light, and has everything needed for comfort and home cooking (lots of cooking essentials for when you want to make your own meals). And the location is magnificent! I love the sunrises and sunsets at this beautiful home; I love how close it is to downtown Doolin, and how convenient to all that Co. Clare has to offer.
Ann creates a wonderful atmosphere for her guests: she so thoughtfully adds some essentials to the fridge to help a weary traveler get settled, and goes above and beyond by leaving for her lucky guests some fabulous baked goods as well (she's an amazing baker!). I only wish I had more time at this vacation home, but I'm already thinking of the next visit. Thank you for a wonderful stay, and adding to some amazing Ireland Vacation Memories!

A Home Away From Home
Ann’s home is inviting, spacious, very attractive, and very comfortable. We found the location perfect for our needs. The house is set into a bucolic Irish hillside with a babbling brook at the back of the property. Pastures adjoin the property on three sides with cows as our neighbors. The fourth side is a house secluded by trees and bushes. Ann’s home is off a two lane road on a charming one lane vehicle path not far from the town of Doolin. For the most part you do require a car unless you want to rely on taxis in which case we highly recommend Burren Tours which will provide one way or round trip taxi service. The interior of Ann’s home is well appointed and lovingly arranged. We found everything we could possibly need and settled in immediately. The fridge was well stocked with our immediate needs: milk, butter, jam, ham and cheese, orange juice and a large bottle of water. Coffee and tea was also available. A freshly baked loaf of brown bread and a delicious apple tart supplied the warmest welcome possible into her beautiful home. It was difficult to say good bye at the conclusion of our week’s stay. We loved and enjoyed everything about Ann’s home from the time we stepped into it and hope to return for another stay at some point in the future. This is an exceptional property for visitors who are seeking the charms of an Irish countryside escape with all of the conveniences of a beautifully appointed home. Ann and her brother, John, were a phone call away and were graciously available as needed throughout our stay. Ann is the most accommodating hostess we have encountered in our Verbo travels and we treasure having the pleasure of meeting her personally during our stay.

Ann’s house met all our expectations and exceeded them! The house is well appointed, comfortable and had absolutely everything we needed. The views of the Aran islands and the outdoor space were sublime. We had lovely weather so we were able to have coffee outside in the garden in the mornings. She was responsive and flexible. She offered us suggestions of what to see and do. The location was perfect for going into Doolin for dinner and hearing trad. We absolutely would stay here again. Exceptional Property and host
Just home from a fantastic stay in Anns house. From the moment we arrived we knew we had found a home from home, with everything we could need and more.
Ann stocked the fridge with essentials to get us started and gave us tasty home made brown bread and apple pie. Delicious. Ann took the time to explain how to work everything and where to find any equipment we could need.
House is so very comfortable with plenty of space, both inside and outside to relax and enjoy the fabulous views and sunsets. The pictures do not capture the homely atmosphere in Anns house.
Ann checked in with us during our stay to ensure we had everything we needed. She also gave us a recommendation for a local guide for a walk on the Burren, Thoroughly enjoyable.
We had a fantastic break and if we are holidaying the area again we will definitely look to book Gorsehill.
Thank you Ann for sharing your house with us.

Beautiful house in an amazing setting
This truely was a breathtaking house. From the homemade brown bread and apple tart on arrival, to the amazing bedrooms, lovely clean bathrooms and stunning views from the upstairs area not to mention the beautiful views from the seating area on the hill to the back of the property. We even enjoyed watching a storm pass one of the evenings/morning with such beautiful views. Doolin is a lovely place to visit and an ideal location for seeing the sights of Clare. I have to say this trip was all about the property though and our wonderful host, Ann. Thank you for sharing your beautiful house with us.
