The villa was absolutely spectacular with great services from the beginning to the end. I just think it was farther away than Florence and I had initially envisioned at least half an hour in mild traffic.

Nice villa in the Tuscan hills. We picked the hottest week of the year so we struggled with the heat but enjoyed the pool and slept well every night in the air conditioning. It’s half hour into Florence driving and Domitilla and staff were very helpful with recommendations. The meals prepared at the villa were wonderful too. We really enjoyed our family stay with the kids and grandkids!

Our family of 13 people ages 13-80 spent a wonderful week at La Querce in Tuscany.
The villa is grand, offering'comfortable spacious rooms ,beautifully furnished , including a wonderful dining room for family dinners.
The setting is picturesque with lots of outdoor space for the grandkids to play ball, and gather at the very large swimming pool.
We were welcomed and pampered by the staff.
It was a week our family will never forget.

The beautiful Villa and surrounding property are stunning enough to be featured in a romantic movie! We were a family of 14 members traveling together, ranging in age from twelve to mid seventies. The very large villa accommodated everyone well with room to spare. The bedrooms are large with delightful and unique furnishings. Most have en-suite bathrooms. The common living areas are very large and imposing. The grounds were my favorite part of the villa. The driveway has beautiful olive trees lining each side as you approach the entrance. There are rolling hills of vineyards which supply the grapes for the working vineyard. A tour was included- not to be missed. There is an inviting swimming pool with surrounding grounds which looked wonderfully inviting. Unfortunately we were there during November. Had it been warmer, that spot would have been a family favorite. Our experience was enhanced by the lovely people we were fortunate enough to interact with. Domitilla, Marco, Paola, Jesus, and Ivan were so accommodating and helpful. It was a lovely week. Several of the children begged to stay longer- that speaks volumes. Pat Franks and family

Everything about our stay was perfect. We had 11 adults, 5 couples and 1 solo. There was more than enough room for all of us, both inside and out. Our hosts were responsive, kind, and extremely welcoming at all stages of our stay. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, the kitchen stocked (but the knives need sharpened!) and the many sitting areas quite comfortable. We purchased a dinner to be cooked and served and OMG it was absolutely delicious. The staff cleaned almost every day and were very helpful and sweet. Our only regret is coming during a season when the pool wasn't open because it looks like a lot of fun. I can't wait to come back to this property once again. Thank you!!!

The property is fantastic, and met all our expectations. Domitilla was easy to communicate with. She was always kind, professional, helpful and easy to deal with. The family history of the villa and property is special. Appreciated the breakfasts prepared and served daily. Very clean! Loved our stay!

Our week at the Villa surpassed all expectations for our family get together! The Villa is truly special. Each room had its uniqueness! The breakfast service was a treat and meals prepared by in-house chef were wonderful. The outside table setting just perfect. Imprunetta village is only a short walk away (though need to be wary of cars)Domitila readily answered all queries leading up to our trip which made planning easy. We loved our tour of the vineyard, cellar and tasting. We really couldn’t fault our stay. Highly recommend. Thanks to Domitila and her team

The property is exactly as described and better. Domitilla is just a text away to answer any questions. Marco, the wine manager is so passionate about his craft make sure you take the vineyard tour with him. Jesus and Willy, the custodians, are helpful and pleasant. Wonderful to wake up to coffee and toast all days apart from Sundays. They kept the villa and our rooms immaculately. The pool is large and was much used by us all during the heatwave. Truly I can't say enough about this property, we thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you

We loved this historic home. The property is stunning. The soccer goals were an added plus! House can get pretty warm and with the mosquitos hard to keep windows open. But overall lovely stay.

This was the most amazing place for a family holiday. The Villa is incredibly beautiful and the surrounds are superb. Kids loved the pool. And just down the road is Florence!

A group of our family gathered at the villa the week prior to our daughter's wedding and we had a marvelous time. The villa is incredibly spacious and the hosts were so kind. We never wanted to leave the property and the beautiful grounds. The chef prepared a delicious meal for us and the owners graciously conducted a lovely wine tour & tasting event for our group and other wedding guests (by pre-arrangement). We would not hesitate to return!

This was our second visit to La Querce. We loved it the first time and even more on the second visit. Domitilla and her staff are super hosts in this centuries-old villa with much natural charm and beauty set in the idyllic rolling hills south of Florence, just enough out of town to be in the countryside but close enough for a quick trip into the city when desired. The villa was clean and well-furnished. Domitilla was most helpful with advice on restaurants and attractions as we planned the trip. She and her staff made it super easy to get settled with our first day pre-arrival food shopping and evening dinner after many hours en route. The abundant estate-produced wines available in the villa plus a special tasting and winery tour led by Marco added to our enjoyment. We have so many fond memories of our time at La Querce and highly recommend it, particularly for larger groups of family and friends traveling to the region.

We just returned from a family trip of 9 adults at Villa La Querce. The villa is located on an amazingly beautiful property surrounded by olive orchards and vineyards. Lots of space, plenty of room to spread out and also to get together. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful. Domitilla is lovely, helpful and quick to respond to all communications. We tried one of her restaurant recommendations - la Padellina - and it was the best meal we had during our 2 weeks in Italy. Jesus and Will made wonderful breakfasts. We all agreed that the whole experience exceeded our expectations, and we hope to return!

This trip was for my family (sibilings) and a few of the adult children. There were 12 of us staying at La Querce and it was truly an amazing experience. From the original planning, Domitilla was gracious and helped us with all questions and alot of our planning. She was truly a blessing. The staff (Jesus & Wil) at the property were also great, they prepared breakfast daily and we able to help with any needs we had. The property itself is incredible, the views amazing, a huge home with plenty of room for a large family event. We had a cooking class at the Villa, we had a prepared dinner one evening and both were outstanding. I would highly recommend this Villa and look forward to visiting again in the future. Thank you to Domitilla and the House Staff...we could not have been more pleased or had a more enjoyable stay.

The property is huge. 3 very large living rooms plus a great room. Handles large groups well. On site staff helped a lot. Domitilla the owner gracious. The house is very old but they have made efforts to modernize. Lots of steps to overcome if any physical issues. Beds were very firm. Pool was a plus but mosquitos bit fiercely even with spray. Cabs from Florence was easy, getting cab back to Florence no good. Chauffeured service by Simon excellent but pricey. Overall good expirence

Best vacation rental we ever stayed in!
What a great place to have a family reunion! Domitilla and her staff did everything they could to make it a great experience for us. It was a week our four grandkids (age 6-10) as well as the rest of us will never forget. The Villa has everything you need….even an ice machine which is unheard of in Italy. I’ve already recommended La Querce to friends and family.

Most Enjoyable Stay at Villa La Querce
Our group of 9 persons (ages 19 - 57) was completely enamored with Villa La Cherche and all its’ offerings (don’t miss Marco’s Wine Tour and Chef Massimo’s cooking). Much gratitude to Domitilla and her wonderful Team for a delightful Tuscany experience!

La Querce is a slice of paradise.
Oftentimes expectations for a magnificent vacation outstrip the actual experience. But, in the case of this property and property owner and staff, just the opposite is true. My husband and I took our children and grandchildren (14 in all) to Florence and Paris for our 50 anniversary, birthdays and retirements. The absolute best part of our trip was a one-week stay in La Querce in Impruneta. This is truly a villa, not just a large house. The layout and spaciousness were perfect for our family--7 very large bedrooms and ensuite baths. The staff prepares and CLEANS UP from breakfast every morning, and then cleans the rooms and bathrooms, etc. Also, there is a chef at the villa who will make your dinners on request if you so choose (We had two terrific meals). The pool is very large, easy to walk to (2 minutes) and not too very deep--so wonderful for kids playing for hours. Also, included in the villa is a vineyard tour and wine tasting with croustades if you would like. It was interesting and the wine is outstanding. The villa and winery, and olive groves are owned by the Marchi family, and Domitilla is the contact for the villa rental. I cannot stress how helpful and wonderful she was both in our pre trip correspondence and upon our arrival.
She gave us information about transportation into Florence (about 25 min.) and where to go and what to see. She is fluent in French and English as well as Italian.. There were no surprises or hidden costs!
La Querce also has a large space for a soccer field with goals,
and foosball and pingpong. We came in from day trips in Chianti and Florence to this wonderful, peaceful, gorgeous retreat each afternoon. After swimming and dinner--soccer games with everyone involved went on for hours.
I'm not sure if we will ever get back there, but if the opportunity presents itself none of us would be able to resist. My children have all told me that they are spoiled for life.
We are now eagerly awaiting the wine we ordered when we left.
Oh, one more thing. Domitilla was kind enough to direct me to another local chef who came to the villa for a day to teach us how to make an authentic Italian meal from scratch. The kids were completely taken with Babs's instruction and loved making the curly little pasta by hand! Then they served us this grand meal out on one of the beautiful lawns of the villa. Really, a slice of heaven.

Elegant, comfortable, enjoyable; a perfect place to stay while exploring Florence and Tuscany
We travelled to La Querce as a postlude to our son's London wedding. We had a group of 13 people that were looking to relax, explore and enjoy everything Florence and Tuscany have to offer. Domitilla warmly greeted us and led us around the villa and graciously answered any questions. She has created a beautiful and comfortable environment. The Villa was extraordinary to say the least. Our family and friends enjoyed all of the nooks and crannies, finding places to relax, enjoy each other's company or sneak away to read a chapter or two. I had three favorite areas: the pool was wonderful, the back yard was a nice shady area for sipping the fruits from the La Querce vineyards or enjoying Massimo's brilliant cooking and third, the view from our bedroom window. Amazing to wake up to every morning! We hated to see this portion of our trip come to an end. The staff, Jesus and Daniel, made things happen without our even noticing. Jesus greeted us daily with a wonderful breakfast, Daniel kept the house in order, and everything always looked pristine!
Make sure you take the wine tour with Marco! He explains the differences in the grapes and finished the tour with a lovely wine and cheese treat in the families ancient wine cellar, truly a treat! In fact we just had our wine delivered to our home as promised and will relish the memories as we enjoy those bottles.
Chef Massimo poured his heart and skill into every dinner, they were all truly amazing. Every menu brought something exciting to the table! Best risotto I have ever eaten!
Impruneta was a fun little town, very friendly, and a great place to have a quick bite or a taste of gelato while watching the locals go about their daily routines. We found them very friendly and helpful. We will remember our stay at La Querce as one of our best vacations ever, and can't recommend it highly enough!

We recently stayed at La Querce with a group of friends, including teenagers. The villa exceeded all of our expectations. It is a lovely property, with beautiful rooms, incredible views and great spaces to relax outside, including the pool. Our kids had lots of fun in the pool and there are many spaces to congregate together or to relax alone. I cant think of a more wonderful place from which to explore Tuscany. Great time
My husband and I invited our children and grandchildren to Villa La Querce for a week. We had a fabulous time! We were a total of 16 , rooms are big and quiet so we were able to sleep without being disturbed by the young ones. The property is very pretty but what we enjoyed the most was sitting in the terrace with the beautiful view of Florence from far away and looking at the sunset. We had the chef Massimo cook for us three times and everything was delicious! Daniel and Jesus were very helpful and patient in preparing breakfast for the 16 of us!!! The owner Domitilla was always available since day one of reservation. Kids enjoyed the pool, the ping pong table, we even played , sang and dance by the piano!,, we would have loved to stay longer!, Good memories will last forever! Thank you Domitilla,,

Words cannot describe the villa, the property, the pool, the outdoor dinners, the bedrooms, the wonderful people associated with the property. Domitilla was superb. Her chef Massimo amazing. The two young men who made breakfast for us and kept all tidy and clean were just wonderful.
We are already planning our return.
We were 14- grandparents, children, spouses and grandchildren. Not on wanted to leave. This was a vacation to build memories. It did so much more. Perfection in every way.

Magificent Villa, Great Location, Superb Staff !!
Our two weeks at Villa La Querce was a cherished experience filled with the fondest of memories for our group of 5 couples. One felt centuries of Tuscan history by just walking inside or around the property. Rooms are large and well-furnished, and provide plenty of personal space along with expansive common areas, inside and out. Internet coverage is provided throughout the villa and supports multiple simultaneous users. Domitilla and her staff were most accommodating, responsive, and flexible in supporting our every need. We enjoyed a welcome dinner, cooking lesson, and winery tour as part of our stay. Domitilla advised us on the best ways to visit the region as well as the more practical items associated with groceries, shopping and even medical assistance in the local area. She even provided pre-arrival grocery shopping to hold us overuntil we could procure our own. Situated in the hills slightly south of Florence, Villa La Querce offers the perfect location for branching out in different directions to enjoy the many sights and attractions of the region. It always felt like home when we returned at the end of each day, a place of respite and relaxation, so we could recharge for the next adventure. Alternatively, it was just a great place to kick back, relax, and take in the beautiful views across the valley below and magnificent sunrises and sunsets.

Fabulous historical villa just outside Florence
Huge villa with 7 bedrooms and ample space for family/friend groups up to 14 people. Is bigger and more expansive than what the photos manage to show. Kept incredibly clean by lovely on-site staff and always a fresh scent of clean laundry in the air. Very nice service to have breakfast prepared, whether eaten on the outside garden terrace with panoramic views over the Florentine hills or inside the villa. Particularly well suited to our group of couples/ family travellung together was that each bedroom has its own bathroom (except for two which share one large bathroom). Lovely touches having soap and shower gel which is made by the azienda made available for use and having wine and olive oil made by La Querce available for purchase. The outdoor spaces are expansive, lawns which can be played on, a table tennis table, various breakout areas and a large swimming pool. The kind of place you don't want to leave! Also very nice to be taken on a tour of the wine cellars and production area by the winemaker. I can highly suggest Villa La Querce; it is peaceful, yet close to services (bus to Florence city center just 200mt walk down the road) and nearest town, Impruneta is just a 2 minute drive up the road, where one finds supermarket and restaurants. Less than a 10 minute drive from the Impruneta exit of the A1 motorway makes it very easy to arrive and make day trips to Pisa, Lucca and get to the Barberino Fashion Outlet. Well positioned for visiting Siena and San Gimignano and all of the Chianti area. Most of all staying at Villa La Querce makes one feel like royalty, book it, you won't regret it!

Splendid holiday villa!
La Querce villa had everything to make our holiday very pleasant: ample house, ample bedrooms with mosquito screens and airco (very important in summer time), superb sitting under the oak tree, nice gardens and swimming pool. Everything clean and well taken care of by the friendly Staff. Stunning views over the landscape. Quiet at night and close by Florence. For us it was the perfect place to stay in Tuscany!

Tremendous holiday
I was part of a group of eleven friends who stayed at the villa in July 2015. We were attending a wedding in Florence and decided to enjoy an extended stay in Tuscany.
Without exception, every member of the group had an amazing holiday and much of this was down to the truly beautiful villa and the warm hospitality we received from Domitilla and her team. The villa has lots and lots of space which means that, even if part of a big group, one can enjoy peace and privacy. The pool and pool area are also on the large side and ideal for big groups.
As is inevitably the case in Italy, eating was a real highlight. Shops are only a short drive away and the produce is invariably fantastic. My favourite bit of the holiday was enjoying long lunches and dinners on the gorgeous upper terrace under a stunning oak tree. The view goes on for miles.
The property is extremely well maintained and very clean. Domitilla's excellent team do a great job and really take the sting out of self catering. We enjoyed shopping and cooking ourselves but had the benefit of discrete service to help us keep the villa looking ship shape - a very good formula for a villa holiday.
Thanks to Donitilla and the team at Villa la Querce. We lived it!!
