Loved this place. Clean and comfy
So cute
Parking a pain wish we could pre book a space in the 3 bays up the road

We had a very comfortable stay in this flat. Everything worked very well and the rooms were clean. Only there was a little too much dust seen in some areas of the house and the cupboards could have been cleaner. Do not let it become worse because this house is such a wonderful place but it sometimes seems to need a more intensive cleaning. The beds were very comfortable and the showers were great. There was enough space for our luggage.
Parking is a little problem but we found out that there is free parking up the hill about 10 minutes to walk. For unloading and loading the luggage into the car you can park in front of the house.

A very charmingly furnished holiday home. Very well equipped kitchen, nice living room and cosy bedrooms. Everything was pleasant.
The location is great if you don't need a parking space right in front of the door. You have to park your car in one of the nearby paid parking spaces. Mousehole is an old and very picturuesque village that can't accomodate cars.
Out of season there is also free parking on the road along the coast to Newlyn, but this is a bit of a walk, about 5-10 minutes.
Mousehole, with its small harbor, narrow streets and hillside location, is a true gem. Great restaurants, a few little shops, but no supermarkets. For serious shopping you will have to drive to Penzance. But - and this is really great - you don't have to drive: There is a bus service running every 15-30 minutes during the day.

This was a lovely old stone cottage connected to others on a fairly steep, narrow road. We had some difficulty finding it, but a lovely employee at the Fore 2 Restaurant guided us. Your gps might lead you astray. You really need to unload your gear and then park in the town pkg lot. We could walk everywhere & take the bus to other locations. The cottage itself had a well-equipped kitchen and good living/dining area. If ppl in your party have mobility issues, they will find the steep, narrow stairs to the bedrooms & baths a bit challenging. The mattresses are a bit “tired”, but not bad. Friendly area in which to stay, & so charming!!

stunning location, well equipped pretty cottage, would thoroughly recommend although could have been cleaner:
sink really tea stained, shower head dirty, loads of crumbs on tray where toaster sits. Don't let this put you off as a great location but owner probable not aware not these thjngs

Had a really lovely stay at this homely, cosy cottage. It is within easy walking distance of the harbour and the village is lovely and friendly. Be prepared to find and pay for parking every day, we were out of season and it was still problematic some days. Great base for exploring this part of Cornwall.

The house is a charming fisherman's cottage right in the center of mousehole. Perfectly appointed with two double bedrooms (one ensuite) and a 3rd with a bunk to sleep 3.
The kitchen is new and has everything required, including a washer, dishwasher, microwave etc. The bathrooms are modern and seem to be new and have good powerfull showers fitted.
Everything you could want is provided right up to umbrella's, childrens games and towels.
Unfortunately now for the bad bit...... As soon as you walk in the front door you are smacked in the face with a disgusting musty smell just like a wet/damp dog. It was always present no matter how often we left the windows open.
Secondly, the house is covered in thick dust and cobwebs. Every light fitting, on the book shelves, at the sides of the sofas, chairs, behind the bedside tables (plugging in chargers) window frames, wall ornaments, log burner, bathroom heater, roof lights.....the list goes on (I have photos if req and am more than happy to send them on.)
The covid instructions inform house letters what you must do when leaving, strip beds, wipe sides down, wipe bathrooms etc and to be honest I think that's all that was done before we arrived.
A real shame because the cottage is beautiful, but we just didn't feel comfortable.

Another excellent stay
After a wonderful stay last year with our baby we came back this year (with two babies) and loved it even more.
The cottage itself was super clean and just had everything we needed for our little family of four. The front room
Is excellent as a guest room or baby room and a perfect size window for a blackout travel blind. The master room has an en-suite but it is also large enough for a travel cot too. The third room has great bunk beds for older children.
As we had been before we were prepared for the drop off of bags as you have to stop all traffic to unload. We packed knowing this so we could speed it up. Parking was fairly easy still in June on a weekend.
I accidentally left something and the host managed to locate it and is sending it back to me so honestly we can’t fault this place and hope to come back again.

Lovely cottage
This is a lovely cottage and perfect for a stay in Mousehole. The cottage was well furnished and equipped but sadly we could not work the radiators, the temperature was far from warm in the evenings. We did not want to change any of the settings and the instruction manual seemed to be for a previous system.

Lovely warm spacious cottage with sea views
Super well equipped cottage in heart of beautiful village of Mousehole. Locals very friendly. Meal at Ship Inn was amazing, very friendly staff. Few good souvenir shops. Generally a lovely place to have a holiday. I will visit again in the future. Thanks for a great stay.

Beautiful Property and so close to the Harbour. Views from the main bedroom are stunning
Great location, tucked away at the end of Cornwall. We had a car and finding parking can be a little tricky but alright. Great bus service into Penzance and very nice walking trails. The house its self is very cosy with its good size bedrooms and very nicely laid out kitchen and living area. Good WiFi and lots of games and activities if you bring kids, which we might do next time.

Short stay in Mousehole
Lovely cottage that lived up to expectations in every way. Parking in Mousehole is never easy but we found somewhere every day and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Will definitely stay again

Fantastic place
Such a wonderful place to stay. Even though it rained the whole time we had the best time. And it was made even better with the house we stayed in. Cozy fire and lovely rooms. Can’t wait to stay again.

Short break
Cottage is lovely, cosy and well equipped for self catering. Stairs are a bit steep for elderly parent had to assist getting down because there is no rail to hold on to . Need to book restaurants in advance as many were closed during our stay. Parking can also be an issue struggled most days to find somewhere to park .

Lovely cottage - would recommend.
Cracking location and comfy, cosy cottage.
All the Facilities and equipment we needed. An easy and short walk to the harbour. Beds comfy, showers hot and good pressure, spacious rooms and beautifully decorated.
Could do with a little more dusting in some corners and a few of the pots needed rewashing before use but all the essential areas were spotless.
We managed to park up the hill a little on the first 2 evenings, but had to park at the harbour on the other side of Mousehole on the last night when we got home later (9ish). This would’ve been fine if I hadn’t had 2 small kids and baggage to drag through town.
Town was friendly and felt safe and smelled of amazing food as we walked through the harbour each evening.

Great little fisherman’s cottage in Mousehole
We very much enjoyed our stay in this cottage, parking is a bit tricky but I found spot everyday free of charge by just parking up the hill on the left as you head out of Mousehole! The cottage has an excellent location with a cracking restaurant at the end of the road! Mousehole is beautiful and it has a good location to get to Sennen, Porthcurno which are the best beaches! St ives isn’t to far and Penzance and Marizian are just around the corner! The host was only a text away! The cottage itself had everything you need plus a fairly new modern kitchen! Tv has freeview and also WiFi which is a godsend as the phone signal isn’t great in Mousehole! Couple of small things, the middle bedroom with the bunkbeds has no way of stopping the light from the roof light flooding the room which is great but no so great at nighttime! I would stay here again for sure

We so enjoyed our time in Mousehole. The property was just what we needed, the location was perfect and the stay was so comfortable. The only issue we had was unloading our stuff into the house as the car blocked the road, but once we were in we had everything we wanted for us and our 9 month old. We did bring our own travel cot. We used one bedroom for us, the front room for the baby and the children's room to store our luggage and it felt like the perfect size. We look forward to booking again next year!

Fabulous
We love staying in authentic cottages and this one did not disappoint - cosy and traditional but with all the mod cons you need. The location is superb very short walk to Mousehole harbour - would definitely go back. Host was so helpful when I left a pair of trousers in the washing machine too.....

Well deserved break.
Nice cosy village with cosy looking cottages. Would of preferred more takeaway restaurants but the worst part of my stay was the parking. Not enough of it and when there is no spaces it can be frustrating apart from that I enjoyed my stay.

Absolutely lovely cottage, clean and tidy, beautiful location, such a lovely friendly little village. Big thank you to Vivien for the flowers, bubbly, chocolates and engagement card on our arrival (i had no idea my partner had been in touch), you certainly went above and beyond to make our stay special. So much to see and do, will definitely be back, thank you so much, michaela and gary

Lovely few days
Lovely warm cottage. Easy to access and centrally located in beautiful Mousehole. WiFi was a godsend as absolutely no mobile signal. Surprised to find no towels available for guests this needs to be clearer in property details

* Cleanliness: When entering the cottage we experienced an unpleasant, wet smell and all available windows needed to be opened as quickly as possible. The surfaces in the kitchen and lounge were sticky which gave us the impression that after the check out of the previous guests there has been no further, additional cleaning at all. There were also 2 big spots on the carpet in the bedroom (facing the street) that could have been treated with carpet foam before the arrival of new guests (see pictures attached). The most shocking issue was the state of some of the pillows. The yellow-brown stains -that were discovered when we stripped off the beddings before vacating the cottage- prove that these pillows have not been washed for ages (see pictures attached). It’s unbelievable that such visible stains were willingly ignored and just been covered with fresh pillow cases for the new arrivals. That is not only disgusting but also a severe offence against health & safety rules.* Location & Neighbourhood: Unfortunately, the neighbours right next door were carrying out renovation work during the period of our stay and one morning, we woke up by the noises of someone removing bath tiles with a percussion drill. Of course, we acknowledge that the landlady has no influence onto this kind of work but if the neighbourhood is of a nice way, one could have given us a little knock on the door the evening before.Furthermore, another neighbour across the street did play very loud music every day from 8 am till 20 pm. This cannot be a new situation and must be well known by everyone. As a matter of fact, the music can be heard throughout the village as we witnessed when walking to the car park. The same neighbour also burnt garden green cuttings in his garden. As the smoke was so thick, we had to close all windows immediately (see picture attached).* Overall Impression: Despite the fact that the building itself is lovely and offers a good layout as well as a newly fitted kitchen, with all these noises going on plus discovering the stained pillows – we have to say that understandably, we did NOT ENJOY our stay here.

Cosy and comfy
Lovely little cottage with very smart new kitchen and bathroom facilities. Plenty of space for us four, and good location in Mousehole. As with many cottages here, no parking, so factor in charges for the big car park on The Parade (a steep £9 for 24 hrs, coins only!)
The new kitchen includes a dishwasher which I don’t think was listed before, so that’s a bonus.
Washing machine, but tricky to find drying space so don’t rely on it.
Well equipped, comfortable and cosy, thank you Vivien :)
