Busy family of all ages. The pool was a must and it delivered!
Short walk to every place.

Overall enjoyed our stay ... house close to everything and we enjoyed the pool. We liked that there were books and games for rainy days. The hosts were available and responded quickly via text. With 5 bedrooms we especially liked that everyone had their own space and the outdoor shower.
For the price we were disappointed in the little things that seemed like simple fixes .. discussed with hosts so hopefully fixed for future guests. In addition, there were two tables poolside but wish there were 2 chaise lounges.
Again, we loved the history and the location and we had a good time. Can't wait to come back to LBI!

the pool was a nice addition to our yearly vacation.

This was a perfect beach cottage for our family vacation. The house itself was great, plenty of space for family meals, both inside and outside. We really enjoyed the outside/ pool area. The location is perfect & in the heart of LBI. You can walk to everything & there is so much to do. Sean was a great about communicating during our trip. We hope to rent again and would highly recommend this listing!

My friends and I rented this place for more than 11 years and formed lifelong friendship because of it. It is under new ownership and we went back for a reunion. We love the new design of the home. The kitchen. All the bedrooms. The outdoor shower. And of course, the location to the beach bars and restaurants cannot be beat. Happy they added a pool. My only warning is the twin beds room is very small. Definitely better for children only. The other four bedrooms are nice sizes with comfortable queen beds. 3 bathrooms plus an outdoor shower is another bonus. Love this home!

This is probabaly a wonderful place to stay in and around the summer months. Unfortunately it is not good when there is freezing winter temperatures and high winds. Minimal insualation and lack of central heating made this a diificult house to use fully. While space heaters were available they could not do the job in several bedrooms and common areas. Several times a fuse blew when we tried to put two heaters in one room and another room was unbearable no matter what was done. While the owner did tell us there were space heaters and no central heating, in many cases they were small heaters and/or unable to handle the larger spaces of the living and dining areas. Temperatures got to 29 with high winds.

Perfect location in beach haven. Spacious for our 2 families! Beds were comfy too! Pool is beautiful. Steps to the beach and steps to downtown beach haven. So many different places nearby for dining, entertainment and fishing!
David and Nancy were very quick with responses to any questions and were very hospitable! Would stay again!!

We had a wonderful vacation at this house. The layout was a little unusual with the 2 adjoining units, but that didn't bother us at all. I prefer the charm of an older home to most of the sleek new houses that have gone up in Beach Haven. This house had a fantastic location and everything we would want in a beach house, including outdoor shower. The rooms tend to be kind of small so it is more ideal for families than large groups of friends who might need more space from each other. Great for kids with a nice backyard and a park so close.

You can't beat this location! Right next to Veterans park, a block and a half from the beach and nightly live music at the Palm Grill! Short walk to the bay side for dinner, but tons of meal (and ice cream :) options even closer. Nancy was very responsive, and even had a broken blender replaced within the hour! We had six adults and three kids. It worked, but a bit tight due to the layout. The outdoor area was perfect for our dog! Plenty of outdoor seating for our meals at home. Bit tight to eat together at one table inside. Lots of essentials were provided, just had to bring our own sheets, towels, garbage bag type items. The place had everything else you need, but could use some updates (ie. Mattresses) and organization. The outdoor shower was a great addition!

Quick trip to Beach Haven
Cute, cottage-y place, close to restaurants, stores and a park. Approximately, one block from a beach entrance. Had a little trouble with the electric on the day we were leaving but it may have been an electric company issue. Owners were very helpful throughout the stay. Would recommend the place to others

Small home in great location but rude & unprofessional owners
I will preface this review by acknowledging that the owners will likely respond with something about how my group is young and reckless. For whatever it's worth, this review is from the perspective of a group of 10 friends (mostly couples) on a family-style vacation. We are all in our late 20s with professions including teachers, engineers, and nurses. We are not a club-going bunch, but we enjoy having a good time at the beach, BBQing in the yard with drinks and games, and enjoying the occasional late night at the local bars and restaurants the area has to offer.
One note about the size: sleeps 10 is a stretch. I would recommend no more than 6. Anything more is uncomfortable and cramped for more than 1-2 nights.
Upon arrival, you can feel that the house gets minimum cleaning and maintenance. Couches are old and dingy with stains and small tears (more on this later), loose cabinets, missing kickboards, cracks in the walls. Kitchens are stocked to the brim with martini glasses, but not much else. Grill was falling apart. One sunny day a gust of wind launched an umbrella from out of a glass outdoor table, shattering the glass. The umbrella was missing a stand, held loosely in the table which was missing a plastic liner for the umbrella hole, but the owners blamed my "lack of common sense" instead. Same thing happened to the upstairs renters on a another sunny, mild weathered day.
As for the owners, I've never experienced such rude and immature treatment. After what felt like friendly communication during the week including notifying of and cleaning the broken glass table and offering to help buy beach passes for the owners, and a full morning cleaning the space upon checkout, was unexpectedly charged for a small tear in the couch that was there upon our arrival. They pretended to care to ask if anyone had any knowledge of that damage, but charged me before allowing me to respond, accusing is of being too young, rowdy, and lacking control of our dog (extremely well behaved, no history of chewing, constantly supervised). Strangely, we had no issues/questions about our ages or dog when requesting to book. David ignored my calls while actively insulting me via text and made false accusations. Nancy will proudly point out how many properties they own around the country which made clear that this pair gets off on maximizing profits with minimal reinvestment in their property and will find a way to make their renters pay for much needed upgrades.

Fab location!
Easy, simple, great setup for two small groups/families for a good mix of privacy and togetherness. Everything you could need or want is within easy walking distance - like others have said, didn’t use the car all week once I’d parked it!

A Gem!
What a great place! The backyard is adorable and has everything, a firepit, grills, hammock, 2 tables and beautiful flowers! The best is there are 2 kitchens and 2 bathrooms! Will definately book a family vacation again!

Exactly as described
Our daughter's Sweet 16 Birthday beach weekend was exactly as we pictured. The home is very charming and typical of the era in which is was built. Our family stayed in the entire first floor which is comprised of two, two bedroom one bath apartments. With enough beds and baths for a large group and the advantage of two kitchens, it was ideal for having a small backyard get together as well as enjoying a beach get away. The private decks as well as charming yard with seating and hammock are very inviting. The location is ideal with close proximity to the beach and Beach Haven attractions. You really can walk to everything!
Everything was clean and ready for us upon check in. If you desire a large, open indoor living area, this may not be the rental for you, as the layout truly is that of two small apartments. I can understand how for some groups it may be a bit small or awkward but it suited our needs. It would work well for two families because you do have some privacy with separate bath/kitchen areas.
In all, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.

Tight quarters, but clean and in superb location for restaurants, shops, and walking to beach or bay.

These days, you can’t be too careful about germs. The adjoining apartments were perfect for us and my bother-in-law’s family. We were able to enjoy the outdoor spaces and common areas, while benefitting from separate kitchens and bathrooms. The location was phenomenal. The central location between Veteran’s Park, the grocery store, and the beach was a walkability all-star. We are already planning our trip back!

Great Location
House was neat, clean and accessible to everything. Parked the car & didn’t get back in it until we left.

Cottage in Beach Haven
OK cottage in a great location with a nice yard. good parking, appliances and AC all worked well. Limited space and seating, poor lighting, awkward layout, no hanging storage in any bed rooms and very uncomfortable bedding. Middle bed area twin beds were touching *3* walls and each other and upstairs unit entry at the window with no curtain. Bunk beds, a curtain, fan & skylight would improve that space. Sofa bed filled LR and required moving all furniture to open and blocked the door.

Great location and layout!
Perfect house for a getaway with two families - bottom unit can be split into two with separate baths and kitchens.

Had a great stay.my girls loved the house. They biked everywhere. You can walk to all the shops and restaurants. Two blocks from the beach with beach passes.

Great location
Location was so close to the beach and neighborhood was nice. There was a grocery store across the street which was perfect. House was well equipped although we had to bring our own linens, towels, toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, dish detergent and hand soap.
One of the queen bedrooms was actually 2 very old twins pushed together. That room also had a window overhead that anyone from the side stairs could peak into.
Owners provided lots of beach chairs which were a plus and there was an outdoor shower perfect to use right off the beach.
We brought our small dog and there was a park super close by to take care of his “needs.”
I’d stay there again!

BEST LOCATION!!!
Lovely Victorian home situated in a great location in Beach Haven. Close to beach, shops, restaurants, we didn't drive our car all week! The home is well maintained, my extended family rented three units, and it was nice to have three separate areas for everyone. My only regret is that we never had s'mores in the backyard :( . Nancy was very responsive, although we didn't have any issues. Highly recommend!

Unit was small and poorly organized. AC system was broken, so window units were installed.
Could use updating. Appliances worked after one microwave was replaced, but supply of kitchen utensils was poor. Location to town and the beach is great. Backyard area is fine.

Awesome location and great property
Just had a fantastic week in Beach Haven at this property. Owners are super helpful and the location and accommodations were excellent. So close to the beach and bay and restaurants and shops that we didn't use our cars all week. Pet friendly was a huge plus in chosing the location.

Convenient and functional space!
The owners, Nancy and David were extremely helpful and cooperative. The house was convenient to the beach and shopping in Beach Haven. It is an older house, but is very comfortable, with relaxing outdoor space and shower. The kitchen is small, with very little storage space. Overall, I would definitely stay here again!
