The only reason it gets it's rating of 2 is because the bed was comfortable and the towels fluffy.
Where do I start. On check in we asked about our breakfast that was included in the price. Response, we've stopped doing that, despite it still being advertised on two large roadside signs on both the main road and outside the property. We emailed you to tell you, no they didn't. Still the same price though. The room was very dark and dingy, the TV did not work, the shower mat looked like someone had wiped their boots on it. Location on the edge of town, so a walk to get anywhere to eat or drink. The historic waterfront is actually a museum so don't think it a lively place.
I've used Booking.com for many years, this was easily the worst experience I've had.

The room was a very good size. Desk for work.
No breakfast, even if advertised Very dirty. Stained sheets, Shower curtain full of black and orange mildew, spider webs everywhere, covered with dust.

Mattress and pillows were comfortable.
Not enough blankets for cold weather (it was November). If booking during cold months, request extra blankets at check-in. There was just one thin blanket, cotton sheet and cotton coverlet - no comforter. The bed was cold all night - I had to get up to put on a sweatshirt and sweatpants over my pjs. Also, the thermostat was difficult to use. They should post instructions. Also: there's no breakfast, regardless what Booking says.

Clean quite nice beds
Not you getting there was difficult getting there we did not have our own car.taxi were hard to get there and back to get the mini bus in Bridgewater ns.we had to call a friend to come get us on Sunday but loved the room

the rooms were simple but space and calming and the bed was comfortable. A special treat was seeing deer just a few yards from our room
this is really minor: it’s a bit outdated

There was no breakfast and no warning of the service stopping. The sign on the road still advertises breakfast but the sign at the motel has breakfast taped over. It looked like they were cleaning up the dining area in preparation for winter shutdown. The checkin clerk was very laconic and hard to understand. It appeared that he and his friend (owner? managaer?) were clowning around and communicating about something other than our checkin. A strange vibe. In the morning the owner's (?) wife opened up the office at checkout. She gave us a couple of take-away breakfast packs consisting of juice, yoghurt and an apple (which was good) but far short of even the standard motel continental help-yourself breakfast which is why we chose this location.
Recently renovated. Old style windows. Heating system weird. Hostess was nice, checkin clerk not. Cleanliness good. Exterior looks good.

The location
No smoke detector in the room and the guest beside our room was chain smoking. We did not stay and found a different place.

We loved our stay at the Wildwood!
Although It's an older motel -- even a little retro, with its pink bathtubs! -- it has been very well kept up. Our room was clean, spacious and fresh smelling. All the rooms in this motel face onto a large green lawn with shade trees and a gazebo where we liked to sit and read. The current hosts, a young couple with two small children, are very friendly and accommodating. Our room had everything we needed and we slept very well here, thanks to the comfy beds and the quiet location! And with its reasonable prices, we definitely look forward to staying here again, any time we come back to beautiful Shelburne!
There was no concern of any kind.

We did appreciate that the rooms did not have carpeting as it made for a much cleaner feeling. Upon arrival we were greeted by a young girl of around 9 or 10 years old, who quickly summoned her mother. There was also a Dad and sweet baby. Very nice young family.
Details about "Breakfast Included" should be removed from all advertising for this property. It was a let down to find out that the "breakfast Included" was not currently available contrary to the advertising (which was absolutely part of the reason we chose this motel). I am not sure if they were trying to still use COVID as an excuse but things have been open in this province for quite a while now. We were basically on our own to drive around and find a place open for Breakfast as there was nothing open within walking distance. The bathroom shower head could not be turned off (when hoping to take a bath) and the tub was not draining even though the stopper was not in the drain. It took at least 1/2 hour for the water to finally drain out of the tub. The room was very dark and the few lamps were very dim.

They advertised free breakfast and when we arrived we were told that there was no free breakfast. We could have coffee in our room, but the coffee machine was moldy and the cups were dirty
The receptionist really didn't really care that there was no breakfast offered, she just checked us in and said we could have breakfast at a local restaurant and coffee in our room...not apologizing to us for the inconvience

very nice, clean, and quiet. Staff quite helpful.

Dirty! Non slip mat in bath was covered in black mould! Visibly dirty bathroom door, very slippery bath, property was messy with furniture etc all around the lawn.
Breakfast was included in the booking, but not actually available on property. Not very friendly staff. Overall just not a good experience.

Loved to see the deer out in the yard all the time.Rooms were clean and comfortable. We stayed 2 nights and thought we would have gotten clean towels put in our room the second day.
We chatted with different people that were staying in rooms close to us.All had 2 guests except for one who only had one.Not one lot of us had paid the same price for our rooms. We had booked online with Expedia or one of them similar which we thought would have given us a better price. It seemed we paid the most and had booked 2 or 3 weeks in advance.

Advertised free breakfast in bold letters on their site and that's why we selected this motel. It saves a lot of time in the morning. When we arrived they said no breakfast because of COVID. COVID has been around for 18 months so plenty of time for them to correct their website. They blamed Booking.com for that...
We have stayed in several other motels on this trip with free breakfast. This motel and its management are not being honest and are trying to save money on the back of their guests. False advertising which also affects Booking.com credibility. Also rude front desk.
Room was clean but front desk was rude and experience not pleasant.

-The owner was friendly and after much discussion, did give me $10.00 off the price of the room due to no breakfast. (He had kindly called me 2 days prior to mention Covid restricted breakfast).
- Room # 1 was newly renovated with laminate flooring.
- Comfortable beds.
-Small table and chairs.
-Good location for stopover.
-The bathroom had not been renovated and could have been cleaner.
- A little pricey. This was the most expensive motel during our 2 week trip down east.

Very comfortable room and pet friendly.
No breakfast available. Recommended restaurant closed.

The beds were clean and comfortable.
You could tell the living space was renovated recently. New laminate floors and newer furniture. However the bathroom needs alot of work. Toilet and sink were pink and old, tub beige and old. There was mold beside tub down the wall to the floor. Outside in our parking space there was debris from the renovation which had we not parked over into the spot beside us, could have caused an injury. The website offered continental breakfast however none was provided and we don't think it was because of Covid, they were not prepared. Because of that it was overpriced.

Breakfast not available, but the room had a coffee maker.
Nothing really.
