This is a college dorm. It is not a hotel. It is quite spartan.
As such, it has everything you need, but may not have everything you want.
On the plus side it is clean, comfortable, and at a great price compared to other Toronto area accommodations. I had a bathroom to myself with an extra sink in the bedroom. Chances are you will too as there are many empty rooms available. It is also very close to a wide variety of restaurants.
It does not have television, air conditioning, fridge or iron in the room, or daily maid service. If you want these, be prepared to spend much more somewhere else.
But overall, I was quite comfortable there. It was just the long commute to Toronto that was a downer for me. If you have business in Kitchener, that wouldn't be an issue for you.
I used it as a base to commute to Toronto for a few days because hotels and guest houses in Toronto cost two to three times as much. Unfortunately, it was about a 3-hour commute in each direction by bus and after several days, that got tiresome. It's possible to do it, and fairly cheap if you are there on a weekend and get the weekend bus pass.. If you decide to do that, the bus stop is next to the university, 5 minutes from the dorm. Nightlife in Toronto might be limited because of the bus schedule.

A decent affordable option in a region that lacks them. It's quiet, it's secure, the parking is free, the college kids on the staff are pleasant. If you just need a room for a few days and don't want to bankrupt yourself, it will do fine.
It's obviously a budget place: the rooms are small, the pillows are thin, the decorations are non-existent, the cleaning isn't perfect (dusty floors, stray hairs around). My biggest issue was with the wifi. In theory each guest is supposed to be emailed their own temporary set of Eduroam credentials - but the promised emails never arrive, credentials reset unexpectedly and have to be replaced at the front desk, and at one point the whole thing went down for most of the day. They should ditch this needlessly convoluted system. The wifi was fast on the rare occasions I had it working, though.

Good location near go bus stop and park Waterloo. Few restaurants nearby hotel work until 23. I was little bit late after 10pm but anyway was checked in by pleasant girl on reception. Cheap option in compare with others on weekend.
Extremely uncomfortable bed. It was very hard to fall asleep. No wi fi signal in the room.

Close to uptown. Clean room and bathroom and quiet
It met my needs — going to a party and needed a place within walking distance to stay overnight.

Perfect location for me and clean, basic room for a good price—just what I needed. Check-in was smooth, staff were friendly. I thought I’d have to share bathrooms with a floor but it was just one unit, and tbh I think the other one was empty so it was basically private.
Nothing really. Possibly location depending on your needs, but it was fine for me.

Available when hotels were all booked on a Saturday. Staff was excellent, check in was easy, accommodations were very clean, bed was small but comfortable. Too expensive for what you get, but when you're stuck, it's a good option
Parking was a little awkward to find, but not too bad

- sink in the middle of the room,
- parking entrance is not very clear the first time, but you will know your way afterwards

Quiet, comfortable. Didn't need anything fancy and this fit the bill.
Lack of Wifi was disappointing. The instructions and password I was given didn't work so I wound up using the data on my phone .

Available parking, Access to washroom (shared). Relatively quiet surroundings. Lots of room for clothing.
Did not realize there was a shared lounge. Did not receive WiFi password as was told to expect. Received 8 notifications of check-in confirmation & check-in time (bordering on badgering). I think this may be a Booking.com issue. Not the University itself.

Convenient to WLU and very friendly staff.
Beds were not comfy (but it is a residence for university, so expected).
