Quiet area, nicely updated room. Smart TV was a bonus.
Could use a little plug-in bulb or stick on light in the kitchen.

Perfect for people with dogs. There is amble grass area right outside the motel rooms. About three of the rooms have ocean views through the trees. WE had the best room for that so we stayed for 4 nights. Staff is very friendly and always available. It is not super modern but whatever is there works and is clean.
No plastic mat in the bathtub I almost fell!! The cleaning lady missed that the previous guests had stolen it. The manager was very helpful in the situation.
There are occasional gunshots during the day from a nearby rifle range{attention people with ptsd}!
Bring your own water as the property is on murky brown well water. By Willingdon Beach in town there is a water tab with clean city drinking water, we found that out on the last day of our stay. The city water in P.R. is very good.

Water was not clear, it was brown and the bathroom had two large bugs in it each time I got up to use the washroom in the night. The kitchen floor had not been cleaned before we moved in, dirt stuck to my bare feet in the kitchen!

The manager was friendly!
Water was a brown colour so we bought bottled water to drink. Pulling out the bedside table a bit to get at an electrical plug revealed a lot of dust and other objects. We arrived in very hot weather to find no AC at the motel, just a fan that provided little relief.

Quiet place to stay
There are people roaming at night and checking bins or anything lying outside such as ash trays etc.

The staff was very friendly and it was a budget stay. A little ways out of Powell River, but a good option for low cost if visiting Powell river. Little picnic benches outside and a camp ground next door. Def clean enough, plus included a little kitchenette. Very Retro - feels like the late 1900's but very doable for a few nights stay.
Out-dated decor and tv did not work properly when we arrived. Staff did help out and it was fixed.

Nice place to stop for the night. The owner is very helpful and friendly. A well preserved 60's motel with a kitchen and large bathroom. The gardens are grown but well kept.
There was no air conditioning.

Two bedrooms. Kitchen facilities. Great view!
The water was brown, not very palatable for bathing, drinking or coffee-making! There was no odor to it and the manager assured us it had been tested, but it was very brown.

I liked the friendly atmosphere and it kinda felt like I was camping, like cabin style 😊 I made due with the water system and didn't complain because the staff were wonderful and it was comfortable and clean enough for my kiddos and I to come back to and settle down for the next day... petty much just a place to sleep and shower, we spent most of the time out and about 😊 definitely overpriced though
Unfortunately the shower and toilet flush system has not been upgraded so when someone flushes the toilet in your room or even next door the water goes cold... 😅 and the water is off the south side well system so you need to boil the water to use it but I just ended up buying bottles.

The location was great nice view of the water. They had BarBQues set up chairs on the grass and picnic tables so you were able to enjoy the outdoors. The rooms were clean & very well stocked kitchenettes.
The rooms were in a little need of TLC.

Close to Powell r
$30 plus tax per note to have a dog in the room is way too much. Expensive room for the poor quality

Very clean. Lovely location with lots of room outside, which makes it very relaxing. The kitchenette provided was such a nice extra, with a fridge for snacks and a coffee maker and coffee/sugar/creamer for the morning. Although there was no air conditioning in the unit, the fans were very helpful. Motels seem to be a disappearing icon ... they're worth considering when travelling.
The property must be on a well because the water had a brown tinge to it. We brought drinking water to the motel just to be careful. Although the room was non-smoking, it must have had smokers at some point because the odour is still present. The only light (lamp) in the TV room wasn't working (discovered it was the extension cord) and we couldn't figure out the TV but it didn't really impact our comfort - we only slept at the motel.

Did not have breakfast at the site so I cannot rate that. The rooms were clean and quiet. Utensils were provided adequately.
Lovely view from the room. Michael was friendly and helpful.
No milk provided for drinks. Thought there was a swimming pool, but I got that wrong. We did find the lake to swim in and enjoyed that.

For the price we were surprised to see how large and clean the rooms were. The location was great and nice and quiet.
Could have been free, but it was the high season. Lol

Noise and disturbance in the night from other clients or long term rental

The view of the ocean was excellent.
The place was in need of a general renovation. Doors did not fit, Carpet needed replacing. Very poor lighting. Very few electrical outlets (extension cords everywhere). Broken closet fittings. Kitchen crowded and not well stocked with cutlery and dishes. We should perhaps have been prepared for the shortcomings as the place was very inexpensive, but we think even at the price we paid things should have been better prepared.
